  in another thread the question of a person's memories being placed within a re-created body has been discussed.

  the possibility was raised that what if two bodies were created, and the person's memories were placed in both bodies?

  which re-created person would be the continuation of the original person?.

  I suppose no new light has been deamed necessary on this topic, even though it doesn't make any sense when examined in detail.

  I don't think there's much that DOES make any sense with this religion.

  The "celebrated WT scholars" provide the scriptural correspondencies linking Michael to Jesus Christ in Volume 2 of the Insight on the Scriptures book, pages 393-394 under the topic "Michael". Naturally they don't provide the specifics of Michael's and Jesus' duality because everything is based on faith (in them), remember?

  Beth Sarim Deeds and transfers

  thanks to apostanator i have received copies of the deeds and transfers to beth sarim.

  the pages are not the best quality so i have enhanced them to make sure we can read what they say.

  i have scanned them at 300dpi and initially saved them as tif files.

  this issue came up with my jw nephew(17).

  i jumped at the chance at using it to prove that the org is a fraud but then the focus changed slightly.

  i said, "do you know how many people's lives were disrupted by this event.

  During an assembly in 1974 the then Dutch branch-overseer tells the audience:

  "The youth has a bright future. Many of us suffered from misery, sickness and death. You don't have to experience that any more. The new order is near. ... There will be a very special Service Meeting (a weekly congregational gathering, RS) in the week of 8 September 1975. Invite everybody. And what will then happen? Well, we don't tell. You think, that if Jehovah makes such an appeal, that there's nothing unusual behind it? Yes? ...Well, sell your house, sell everything you own and say oh boy, how long can I carry on with my private means. That long? Get rid of things! Pioneer! (more or less full-time proselytizing, RS). Plan to shower people with magazines during these last months of this dying system of things! Everybody you meet!"   Robert Martin seems to be a "gopher"/middleman for the WBTS in this transaction. The following is Martin's account of his role in the matter, taken from the March 19th, 1930 copy of The Golden Age magazine:

  It is not always convenient to get a comfortable place to live when it is necessary to rent a house for a few months. For the past two years I and other brethren close to Brother Rutherford have urged upon him the necessity of a house in San Diego where he can live and do the work that is so necessary to be done. Last year, in company with a few other brethren, we pressed this matter upon him, at that time the Lord having provided the means for the building of the house so that it would not be a burden on the Society. He finally consented that the house might be built only upon condition that it should be exclusively for the use of the Lord's work, henceforth and for ever, and not for any private gain for any one. In October, 1929, I went to California and acquired the title to the ground in my name and entered into a contract with the builder, and the house was constructed in my name. I again went to California at the beginning of the year 1930 to close up the building arrangements. I am happy to have any part in this because I know what it means for the Lord's work.
  I feel sure that the Lord loves Brother Rutherford as much as he loved David. David built a house for himself and afterwards thought about building one for the Lord. After repeated urging by loyal brethren the San Diego house was built, but Brother Rutherford refused to have it for himself except to use it for the Lord's work. A deed was made conveying the title to the house. The deed was written by Brother Rutherford himself. I am certain there is no other deed to any piece of property like it under the sun. I am grateful to the Lord that I had anything to do with it.

  add 17 to 539=556, neriglissar==4 years, add 4 to 556=560, evil-marduk=2 years, add 2 to560=562, nebuchadnezzar=43 years, add 43 to 562 =605.

  the bible at 2 kings 25: 8 and 9 says "in the 19th year of king nebuchadnezzar the servant of the king came to jerusallem and burned the house of jehovah.

  Any constructed chronology for the Neo-Babylonian period is fraught with problems because of numerous gaps and conflicting data when one compares it to carefully crafted biblical chronology by celebrated WT scholars.

  Just because celebrated WT scholars and scholar does not use or agree with all of Josephus' chronology does not mean that we cannot use part or some of it.

  Ahhhh...so THIS is how things are carefully crafted!

  Do JW's consider Jesus to be their saviour?

  this coming from a person raised "in the truth".. recently i shared a scripture with my sister - she is ill and will have to have some pretty serious surgery.

  i shared isa 53:4,5 with her.

  Any emphasis placed on Jesus as "Savior" will meet with raised eyebrows among JWs. If there is no inclusion of Jehovah in your expression, the "hackles go up". The following is the "party line" as to who the "Savior" is for JWs from Insight on the Scriptures, Vol.2, pg. 873:

  Along with his role as Savior, Jehovah is also the "Repurchaser"." (Isa 49:26; 60:16) In the past he redeemed his people Israel from captivity. In delivering Christians from sin's bondage, he does the repurchasing through his Son Jesus Christ (1Jo 4:14), Jehovah's provision for salvation, who is therefore exalted as "Chief Agent and Savior." (Ac 5:31) Accordingly, Jesus Christ can rightly be called "our Savior," even though he performs the salvation as the agent of Jehovah. (Tit 1:4; 2Pe 1:11) The name Jesus, given to God's Son by angelic direction, means "Jehovah Is Salvation," for, said the angel, "he will save his people from their sins." (Mt 1:21; Lu 1:31) This name points out that Jehovah is the Source of salvation, accomplished through Jesus. For this reason, we find the Father and the Son spoken of together in connection with salvation. --- Tit 2:11-13; 3:4-6.
