You might not believe this, but that was ME just a few years ago. I never spoke negatively of the Witnesses or the Watchtower Organization. I never, EVER went looking for any "dirt" on them. Thankfully, for me, the "dirt" just manifested itself without a search!
Me accidentally discovering something about the UN involvement brought everything crashing down... many years after I no longer considered myself a Witness.
I think most of us where, to some degree, like that at one time or another...

This is normal among D'fed and Da'd people.
One example is my mother in law. She stopped going to meetings, and basically faded out for a couple of years now, but not because she knew any of the things most of us know about the bOrg, but mainly because she was mistreated by the elders and congo in general.
She celebrates all the holidays (b-day, Xmas, ect.), she lives with a man that's not married to her, but she will not permit anyone to speak negatively about the bOrg.
I feel sorry for ppl like that, they do not live as jdubs, but in the back of their mind they think that it is THEMSELVES who are weak and at fault.
Brainwashing is a powerful thing...
i get the feeling many x-jws are floating about aimlessly and don't join christendom, still living with the jw indoctrinated belief that they are all the work of the devil.
does that make sense?
are they supposed to sit around in small groups in their living rooms reading scripture like ray franz recommended in crisis of conscience?
One does not need religion and/or God to fill some need or void, or find purpose in one's life. Religion is a crutch.
i was in toys r us today and happened to see what looks like the greatest videogame ever.
i was blown away.
it's called "batman: arkham asylum" and the version i saw was for ps3 (which i don't have but may now have to obtain).
I'm anxiously awaiting that game. But if you think that game is awesome, wait 'till God of War 3 comes out.
I have COD 4: Modern Warfare (ps3) and World at War (xbox)... I prefere Modern Warfare the best. Modern Warfare 2 is coming soon and it promises to be a lot better than the first.
i have always noticed even before i left the jw's that born again christians will always give other born agains a free pass on wrong doing.
i have heard some born agains talk about jw's and mormons like they have horns and pitchforks for things such as un scandal, child abuse, false dates, et; but when you hear of a tv evangelist caught in a gay scandal i have not heard one born again complain.
it seems like a double standard to me when born agains are always condemning others for some of the same things they do.
Because, regardless of their affiliation, all chirstian groups ultimately belong to The Church of Holy Convenience. Things are right or wrong, depending on how convenient it is for them.
i suppose the english word "love" has many meanings according to individual needs and experience.
the questions are for me: if love is unilateral or an interactive relationship?
is unrequited love none-the-less rewarding?
Love-when somebody can see through all your bullshit and still stand by your side.
Love-when left to your own devices, you don't feel like doing anything until your partner returns.
Love-when someone is willing to tolerate your farting winds.

his kid friends {now adults} who defended him include culkin from "home alone"...the kid from "webster"...godfather to his kids, the kid from the movie "oliver.
" his own kids, so.....can pedophiles switch it on and off....out of thousand's of kids he met why didn't he molest more including his own kids..
We'll never know for sure. Personally I doubt he was (and I was never a 'fan'), but I'll tell you this much, his behaviour(s) did not help him much.

Ha! That reminded me of when my wife told my mother that I've become a better husband after we left the bOrg. That shut her up for a while.
ever have one of those days..when you go outside,and part of your dogs throat has been ripped out?...
that was the begining of my day... i have no idea what attacked him..whatever it was,was f*cking vicious!
!..there was a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his neck.....and a severed artery......also a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his leg.....and..another severed artery.....there was blood everywhere... the nearest vet is 1 1/2 hours away..i phoned in and told the doctor to be ready for me... i tied the dogs wounds up with tee-shirts to try to minimilize the bleeding..then put a 100 lb bleeding dog,in the back of the truck..........poor dog tried to stand up in the truck..his neck started to gush with blood..i got him to lie down..the bleeding slowed.....i jumped in the truck and drove..that was one long hour and a half... the doctor came out..looked at the dog,ran back in and brought out a stretcher..it took three of us to bring him in so he would`nt move around..that dog has spunk!..lol!!.
