he hasn't turned 18 yet, but is already regular pioneering so he can qualify.

I agree with the others who stated that you had to have pioneered for a period of time. Also, he'll be expected to read the Bible straight through. Like you said. Could be the best thing for him to get accepted and see for himself. Like most all teens, it's got to be experienced before they believe what others tell them - actually that's true of a lot of adults too. Maybe ONLY THEN will your words ring true. juni
we just got back from spending two weeks in denver, co. call us crazy (yeah i dont know what the hell we were thinking) but we decided to drive.
from seattle to denver and back is over 3,000 miles.
we had both kids and a crap load of stuff.
Westport, NY (Welch's grape jelly/jam town) to Wisconsin NON STOP W/FOUR LITTLE KIDS IN A VW MICRO BUS. That was torturous!! Why non stop? Couldn't shut engine down because starter wouldn't work. Junibreeze~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
why is it that jw`s discourage you to search online for things dealing with jw`s?
if you are firm in your beliefs and you know you have the truth why be so afraid of that you will stumble upon some kind of "apostate" literature?
does anyone know exactly why jw`s shun there freinds and family for being dfed?

I know of a sister who will not use the Internet as she's afraid somehow the bros. will find out what sites she went to and/or check her e mails out. Shows how much fear there is. All Witnesses should just give their computers the heave-ho. End of problem. I've tried to get different ones ( former friends ) to e mail me back after they wanted me to send them an e mail. I kept my letters neutral, but they still won't respond back. FEAR!!!!!!! And remember OBEY, OBEY, OBEY. Guess they want someone else to take over their responsibility for their decisions. Can keep them in the dark then. Remember when the Catholic Church wouldn't allow the people to read their Bibles? Same thing. Keep people under their thumb. juni

Anytime you speak what's on your mind instead of just shutting up and going along w/the flow it rocks the boat. I feel sorry for your children. Are they young? They must be considering your age. Your wife "huddled w/the elders"? Shouldn't she be working this out w/you and talking w/you and then respecting your decision for yourself? Of course, children are involved which makes it hard to keep harmony in the family. This religion tears families up. Divorce does too - including financially - and if your wife is one to be vindictive she'll do everything to keep the kids away from you.
I guess what I'm saying is that you're caught between the Devil and deep, blue sea. Think hard about how you want to handle this considering your wife's personality. Probably your stomach problems are related to the struggle religiously and what it is and will be doing to your family.
