i have begun to live it - instead of waiting on the 'real life' we had been promised as jw's.

it started 4 years ago - but it moved slowly past the weeks and months of 'research', trying to find where i fit, then into an understanding that i didn't - at least not conventionally, fit anywhere, religiously speaking.

What about shutting down our borders and concentrating on our own? Stop aiding other countries and forcing our way onto everyone else. Let them go through the same growing pains the people in this country have gone through. If they want their "freedoms" badly enough they'll succeed. If women in Arab countries want their "rights" they'll burn their burkhas as women burned their bras! Bring the military home and have them guard our borders..

It's time to get this country's shit together.

each time i go, i see a bunch of happy people, young and old.

some smile more than others, but just about everyone seems happy to be there.. maybe we left because we weren't that happy, rather than finding flaws in the religion.. maybe they look happy because they aren't allowed to look sad..

People who have had lobotomies can have a serene look on their face also, but that doesn't mean I want a lobotomy...
JWs usually look happy before and after the meeting when they're socializing and talking about things unrelated to being a JW. But during the meeting, some are asleep, others are bored and some are daydreaming of being somewhere else...those are the ones who look happy during the meeting, lost in their daydreams.

my wee mum is not long for this world

she has lost over 7 stone due to her cancer and is finding it almost impossible to eat now.....see the difference in a couple of years .. ......she has been giving all her belongings away too recently
