ok, this is my first post.

i'm 30 years old.

raised in "the truth" my whole life.

One day my wife stormed in and said....."your to afraid to tell other people in the congergation what you think!! ha ha" and I looked at her and said.....
"sure I am....what does that tell you about the spiritual paradise we are in!

She never has brought the subject up again and that was 18 years ago. She is still very loyal (to a fault).

Please remember that a religion that has all the answers........allows no questions!

(most won't know, if they do ask the following) Could I find this same information in the Bible on my own? ( This will work the dub into a corner fast. Either they will have to say no to justify their being there or yes, which even tells them that they are wasting time. If yes is the answer then why read the publication? If no is the answer that they stick with then ask which blief is in the publication that can not be understood by reading the Bible? Things will get real messy with them from this point on as you can hammer them on all the bs doctorines of the WTBS.) Are the writers inspired? (most will say no ) Then why can't I get this on my own? (most don't know) Are these articles of religious faith for saving my life? That are taught in this publication. (uuuuhhhhhh) Who told you this? (uuuhhh)

Its good to hear that you are getting on with your life. We all have stories to tell and I enjoyed yours as it was an encouraging one to me. Anytime one breaks free from this evil (WTBS) organization and gains their life back is a time of rejoicing!!!!

as most of you know we here florida had a devestating strom in punta gorda.

there is a district ass-embly in kissimee this weekend.

As most of you know we here Florida had a devestating strom in Punta Gorda. There is a District Ass-embly in Kissimee this weekend. The WTBS insist that the show must go on! The local population that was displaced by the storm needs all the rooms that they can get, also the rescue workers need this. But now they have 8,000 dubs flowing into this region taking up rooms (they had reservations). I told my wife that this will play very bad PR for WTBS in the local area. It will be interesting to see what spin the WTBS will put on this to justify displacing the rescue workers out of the rooms. Many of the motels were dmaged so bad that they had to cancel all reservations, yet many of the dubs are going without any place to stay ( what idiots ).

Amazing how close this follows the WTBS and the loyalty that they demand and how blind the people follow the leader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope that this will wake up some of the dubs.

I hated dish duties, night watchmen duties.

On my last day at Bethel the people at my table would not speak to me even though we all had sat there for 14 months. This still saddens me although it has been 30 yrs. the pain is still there.

I would also like to add that if you are just going throught the motions of being a witness and not having your heart in it then you are fooling yourself. Remember..........There are no bigger fools than those who fool themselves.

ANOTHER CALL TO ACTION: Newspaper ad's?

i have been thinking about this for a while, and a couple recent events here on the board have solidified my thinking.

first, seattleniceguy's triumph with the un posting a letter regarding the wts affiliation with the un.

it just shows that with a little combined effort we can accomplish alot.

Excellent idea!

The wording and pharse a person uses to convey a message is very important to reach you audience. First it must be relevant to the audience for them to pay attention and read the ad.

Instead of making statements it is good to ask questions that make people think, not just for the witnesses. Such as: Are JW's the only true christians? This will put the WTBS on a no win defense. (If they are then they will insult the audience, if they aren't then what relevance does being a DUB have?)

There are guerrilla warfare tacticts that are very effective in instilling seeds of doubt with those who still have a some thinking ability. I put on my "ricky righteous" attitude and watch the wheels in a persons mind start to move. This is great fun at the ass-embly when you get bored or indignent with the dogma of the WTBS. This is a subject for another time.
