Oops! Honest - I didn't know. I've never knew anyone to be DF for smoking. Although I got DFed for confessing sins I was truly sorry for. I guess anything is a DF offense now!

Got Busted By Wife?She Said She Want Tell.(update)
by Big Jim ini recently picked up the nasty habit of smoking.
i have been hiding it from my wife for about a month now,(she is still a witness) to make a long story short i only smoke when i drink and go to the casino.
in lake charles well she busted me and was actually nice about it and said it would be our secret as long as i did not bring them in the house are ever smoke around the kids.. sounds like she might be comming around maybe, i only hope.. anyway i had to tell someone.

Amen sister! I don't think smoking is a good idea (I've been free of nicotine for 8 years now!) but I do believe in freedom of choice. That freedom was given to Christ himself.

I'm new here - sort of.....
by individuals wife ini understand you've met my other half - now it's my turn!
i feel as though i've known some of you for ages as we've been regular visitors to the board for a long, long time so it's nice to be able to dive in at long last and make contact!
life is good - the disassociation letters went out last november and things are unbelievably quiet, no phone calls, no visits and best of all - nobody rushing up to me in the street begging me to come back.

Deep Impact
by individual inhas anybody seen the film deep impact?
it was about the possible destruction of the world by an asteroid and it came out at about the same time as the film armageddon.
the reason i ask is because this film had a very profound effect on me whilst i was still associating with the congregation.

Interesting point individual! Sometimes I am still shocked by the wonderful people of this "world" that I meet. My parents always taught me that "worldly" people are all selfish, God-hating, hypocrites. Which is not true at all! I've found more spiritual and Christian-living people in the world than in any congregation I've ever been in. I've just never though about it the way you put it! Thanks for sharing!
