I love a bit of pork - no surprises there then. However the "crackling" is the best part for me - take the euphemism how you like.

Are people born hamsexual?
by SixofNine inare people born with a desire to be with the other white meat?
why would a person choose that path when it leads to criticism, hatred, alienation, high cholesterol etc.
why wouldn't they just be normal if they could.

Button Pushers What to do?
by Sparkplug inlife is not cryptic.
freaking open your mouth and say it!!!
it feeels so much better when you do!!.

I got reprimanded for being cryptic recently, but sometimes it's the only way we can communicate something and its not deliberate. In my case it's because I have so many imaginary conversations with people that I forget when I actually do speak to them they haven't the foggiest what I am banging on about, because I only told them how I felt in my head or my journal, so they have no context and therefore it sounds like one of them "tales from the crypt" (or the crump ).
As you were Forest!

I've just become a father
by jwfacts ini have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful step kids, 15 and 21. being a jw i did not want a child as life seemed so pointless.
things changed for the better since leaving and i am now the proud father of a big baby boy zac - 9pounds (4.1kg), 52cm long and huge lungs.
my wife is filipino so the baby looks very asian at the moment.

I am SO happy for you! I got all misty eyed reading what you wrote as I can really identify with your feelings previously about having children and looking at those very tender pictures.
Here's too many years of happy parenting. I feel confident you will make a great daddy.
With love and joy for you

And I spend every spare moment saving up to leave it!
If you mean by the "cops show" The Bill - they film that mainly around Croydon, which is a godforsaken concrete hell full of chavs.

Cut and Run
by yumbby inthis is just a post to see if anyone else feels how i do.
have any of you ever in response to a situation you didnt' feel you could control just feel like packing a bag and taking off without telling anyone where you are going and starting over completely fresh and away from your past?
it is so tempting.

I know how you feel, although I'd never change my name and there are people I will always want to keep in touch with.
I have always cut and run.
I planned my first escape from when I was young enough to know escape was possible and had saved enough to run away when I was 14. I waited til my family had gone on Saturday field service and then ran away. I got to the city about 30 miles from our small town, found myself a bed and breakfast, didn't tell anyone where I was going. The police brought me back the next day after I attended the kingdom hall after looking it up in the phone book, so I didn't miss the meeting.
I next ran when I was 16. Unable to abide by parental house rules and unwilling to sacrifice my freedom longer than I legally had to surrender it to them, I found a dingy attic room I could afford to rent by working long shifts in a supermarket and promptly left home as I'd always known I would.
I'm inclined to do a runner frequently. I'm impulsive. But I've learnt there is one person I can't runaway from. So its best to make my peace with her before making rash decisions!
That said I don't regret any runners I've done. They were all absolutely right at the time.

WHO Dreams up this stuff to do?????
This is why often men who were hung would not only urinate, defecate, but also ejaculate - to quote Henry Fielding in City of Vice. I am amazed that school children are doing it though. It's not just a high, you can pretty much orgasm from it. It can also be done under water - no strangulation, just semi self asphyiation which results in a whole body sensation.

Who would be interested in a JWD book club?
by TheSilence ini've been thinking about organizing a jwd book club.
would anyone be interested?
everyone could throw out suggestions of books and i could pick one at random for each read.. i was thinking a book every 2 weeks, but i know a lot of people have kids and obligations so maybe every month would be better?

That's a lovely idea. I'm not sure I could commit to read every book, especially as I have 6 on the go at the moment - the joys of insomnia.
I could definitely recommend The Road, by Connor McCarthy - but there's a thread on that one already!
I do wish there were more literature threads on here.

Being known on JWD - unable to discuss VERY personal matters.
by kwintestal infor some time now, my wife and i have met various people on jwd and we've developped close friendships with many of them over the years.
we have family members who post on here as well.
believe me, i wouldn't lose these relationships for the world.
-
Crumpet
Posting on JWD is great and any topic isn't out of the question, BUT when you get to know people on here you may either have to live with them knowing more about you then you may want them to know, or be stuck figuring it out on your own.
It is a dilemma, isn't it?
I try to count on the best intentions of anyone who reads my posts and who gets to know me in person. I also avoid saying anything that I wouldn't be happy to say in person. That's why some things I keep to myself.
I also am cautious about directing pre-existing friends here and try to keep the personal information I reveal about other people (even though always anonymous) or my feelings about them respectful.

The usual way to come to me is through my son-y eriksson, but I don't object to other mediums (unlike some gods you may have heard of, like that Jehovah freak).
If you must know - God herself is about to take a very hot foamy bath, read some erotic fiction, sip some ginseng tea and listen to some of Simone White's Album, aptly named "I am the man".
