Brilliant question Clam
Stew/Casseroles made with leftovers. I make them all the time now and it reminds me of how my mum would make food go as far as possible since we never had very much. Now I do exactly the same, it doesnt save much money since I always cook for a family as I am not one for prepacked meals but I can freeze the stuff or put it into a gigantic pan and make it into something wholesome and filling and something you can't buy (nor some would argue would you want to! lol)

APOSTASCOTLAND
by Dansk inwould someone seriously consider arranging for an apostafest up in scotland next year?
i know i'm asking this early but i feel it would be good to put the feelers out now.. obviously, it would have to be a location easy to get to - so that means stornoway is out!
sorry, ross & xena.

I am planning a tour next year first stop Carlisle to stay with my first ex's family and then Gairloch to stay with my last ex's parents, over to Lewes to See Ross and Xena and B and then to the Sheland Isles to visit an old friend and then back to Edinburgh - Edinburgh is a brilliant place to go. I'd suggest avoiding August as the prices go sky high for accomodation with it being the Fringe Fest. As for venues - depends on how many of us there are./ The Witchery is awesome - Pavrotti, Madonna etc all being patrons (well when he was alive) but last time I went it worked out at around £100 a head (and I wasnt paying - thank god). I have some favourite restaurants - a really great steak place on Broughton Street, but downside is they all tend to be very small and initimate and would struggle to accomodate more than 8 at a table.
Anyway let it be known I'd be up for it.

How romantic - one of the loveliest parts of a relationship is having those little in jokes and pet names - the other is of course making babies. Glad you get to giggle and hump and produce little humpets too. COngrats Guys - this crumpet is pleased for ya! Keep up the good work - I am convinced on the basis of no scientific evidence at all that it all contributes to a happy baby!

My mom just called
by Elsewhere inmy biological family has been shunning me ever since i daed back in 1998.. my mom opened by saying that she's been thinking about me lately and then we chatted a bit to catch up on news.
i told her about my toilet training my two cats, my recent nose surgery, my running and how things are going well at work.
she told me about how my dad had a medical issue come up in july and how it was treated.. normally my biological family will only contact me when someone dies.

Elsewhere - lets take plenty of pics at the New Years Eve party and then you can send them to her so that she feels lonely!

Clam - am mad that sweetface beat me to it! Liam - lovely!
Quietly-leaving - I dont believe a word of it. I should spank those kids of yours!
I was told I look a bit like Joss Stone and someone else is sure they saw my doppelganger in a very ropey movie. Unfortunately I have not been able to verify whether this was an accurate lookey-likey or was in fact me!

My Mum's gone
by shell69 ina few months ago i noticed that my mum had put her house up for sale, she doesn't live far from me and i had occasion to drive past her house.. well i've had a funny unsettled feeling all week, and i drove along the back of her house yesterday, and all the curtains were gone, she'd obviously left.
feeling brave i drove round the front, and yes its empty, doesnt look like she's been gone long.
i got out and went in the back garden, and looked through the windows.

Shell my heart sank when I read your post. I can imagine how awful that must have felt. It is horribly cruel. Please try to have a good cry for your loss and then not allow this unchristian and unmotherly conduct to touch you anymore.
((((shell))))
