  just a quick run-down for those who haven't followed my court case so far: .

  my ex and i have joint custody but primary residence is with her.

  she has broken a bunch of the orders that the judge made.

  Thanks for asking. The Judge adjourned it until next Thursday. The only things that are to be addressed Thursday are whether she is in contempt and her "mobility", as that Judge put it. (Whether she should be allowed to stay in the town she moved to.)

  On a very good note, while I was waiting, I spoke to a lawyer about potentially taking my case. He invited me to see him after we were done. I went to his office after the adjournment. He is going to call my ex's lawyer on Monday.

  I strongly believe that her lawyer will cave now that I have a lawyer. Even though the Judge adjourned it, she said some things to her lawyer that indicated trhe direction that it would go even if I was representing myself. With a lawyer behind me it will be even better.

  This lawyer hasn't even asked for a retainer, by the way. Nice guy. I did tell the lawyer that I believe in prevention more than cure and positive reinforcement more than negative consequences, but..... lol..... my ex and her family do not so....... I will not go back to the "settlement" that we agreed to unless there are severe consequences if/when she does not abide by that agreement.

  i was just reading another thread where i was reminded about how the wtbts decided that it was "ok" to have babies again.

  i believe this was after the 1975 fiasco where, prior to this they were, in essence, telling people to drop everything, including having a family.. their great revelation about how it was now "ok to have babies" may have been a rush to judgement.

  the fact is that a lot of people left because they were "pissed" at being lied to.

  I will leave myself wide open for your critcism here. (To be honest, it seems like that is all you have in your psyche anyway, so what the hell.)

  Don't ask a question of other people (as you have done here on this forum), when your (either conscious or subcoscious) reason is to criticize others. Nobody here thinks the same way that you do. Not even FBB does, although your acceptance of her "logic" has been noted as being noteworthy because hers is the closest to your rants.

  The next time you post a topic on here can you please make it evident from the very beginning that you wish to only have replies that stroke your own ego? Stupid people like Little Toe, Czar and myself will not waste our time, if you had of done so when you asked, "Why? Why? WHY???"

  i understand there is a ton of anger out there toward the wts and dub's, and rightly so... what i don't understand is this notion that there is an evil conspiracy on the part of the wts and dubs as individuals to subjugate and control the unwary (or however you want to label us) for some evil sinister purpose.

  i know what they are doing and agree it's wrong but to what purpose- i mean you can look at televangelist and see what's up with them (follow the money).

  but what's up with the dub's.

  Your delivery could really use some improvements. You make absolute comments like "ALL doctors" know how harmful blood is without mentioning that WHEN these same doctors know the only alternative to saving a life is using blood they would do so.

  I am happy that your son came through his ordeal safely. I think what six and avishai are trying to say is that when an organization (like JW's) make ASOLUTE rules without taking into consideration the exception that always exists, it is just plain wrong.

  Good on you that you are no longer a mindless dub. Don't condemn others for having "escaped" just because they are not exactly like you.

  Did you pray because you felt like it or because you were told to?

  witnesses pray many times a day.

  at the field service, at the meetings, before each meal and even more.. i don't know if you're like me, but i didn't pray because i felt like it, but because i was told to.. personally, 1 long honest prayer a week would have been much better than 20 routine prayers.

  did you feel that it was natural to pray 3 times a day or more?.

  When I was very young I felt very uncomfortable praying. I always asked my mom to do it for me. (Lesson to new parents......... never let a kid read about the Bible Stories' horrific stories before they can even conceive of a God.) I thought God was a very mean being from a very young age.

  My mom, (still a very devout JW does not know it but my refusal to pray and her "praying for me" saved my ass.) I am free now because of it. I just wish my mom would be able to realize my freedom.

  My God, you are so quick with your responses all the time. Yup those are some big ones. Besides the big ones that you rightly mentioned, I was also thinking about how they have prophesied about some things that were going to screw themselves when they went unfulfilled.

  Which brings up another question, I suppose. Could they prophesy 1914, 1975, etc. and not realize that when they didn't happen, that numbers would drop?

  Edited to add: I love the one about God being at whatever star in the Plaides thing, by the way........ I can be gullible, but I don't even I would have bought that one.....lol although I do know that it is true that they taught such....... wow!!

  I was just reading another thread where I was reminded about how the WTBTS decided that it was "OK" to have babies again. I believe this was after the 1975 fiasco where, prior to this they were, in essence, telling people to drop everything, including having a family.

  Their great revelation about how it was now "OK to have babies" may have been a rush to judgement. The fact is that a lot of people left because they were "pissed" at being lied to. However, combine the 1975 failed prophecy together with their OWN "suggestion" to not have babies, and their numbers were dropping.

  Their TRUE motives not being mentioned.... YET... lol.......what are some other big... DOH'S that they have had to scramble to recover from?

  My sad news

  as some of you on the board knew i was expecting a baby, i feel i should let you know that things have not worked out for us.. when i went for the 20 week ultrasound scan last thursday, severe problems were found with our baby's internal development.

  only one kidney was detected, and it was very enlarged and polycystic.

  there was no long term hope for the baby at all; if it survived to full term it could only live for hours at most.

  Hi Fe,

  We have only chatted in the chat area once awhile back. I'm not sure if you remember me as well as I do you. In the fifteen or so minutes we chatted I learned a lot about your character. It does not surprise me that you are taking the very best from a tragic situation. It goes along with the spirit that I sensed within you.

  My heart aches for you right now but I am impressed by your ability to still be positive. Give my love and concern to Grant as well, please. You (and I would imagine Grant is also, by association) are obviously tremendous people.
