Beth Sarim, new one for me, probably like me most people would have to look it up for the meaning, and some wouldn't bother, :) The sunk cost fallacy is the tendency for people to continue an endeavor or course of action even when abandoning it would be more beneficial. Because we have invested our time, energy, or other resources, we feel that it would all have been for nothing if we quit ??

How are MS and Elders appointed:
Is the person obedient to the elder body and the GB/WTS?
Must use the elders manual as their guide, not the bible (but may use selected scriptures in the elders manual, remember the days of putting updates in the margins of the elders manual?)
Then, it the BOE decides a male jw qualifies in a elders meeting, they jump the male jw just before the old service meeting and ask if they accept the appointment. No time for the person to evaluate it, must just be grateful they were selected, not even discussing with their wife to see the husband can meet his family obligations)
Several I knew turned it down, even elders who moved in from other congregations, did not accept reappointment. Now that label that brother.

Good number, but I remember how attendance was counted at meetings and how it changed.
First, people old enough to really understand what was going on, not small children or babies.
....as time went on it was finally changed to counting every person out of the womb, babies included, but not babies in the womb (haha). Also if someone came in the last minute of a meeting, they could be counted as if they had been there. So the numbers of attendees did go up.
With the WTS now using unbaptized boys to do duties that only baptized men could do and only those in good standing, things as to counting has really changed. And mention that hours are no longer, most jws seen only have to put in writing that they did preach that month, not how much.

Kingdom Ministry School
Purpose: To help elders and ministerial servantse care for their congregation responsibilities in the light of current situations, trends, and needs. (2 Timothy 3:1) The school is held every few years.
Duration: Varies, often one day.
Enrollment: Circuit overseers, elders, and ministerial servants.
