Utter nonsense.. Wiser ones still have a library of old books. Once in a while the new articles refer to old issues....when it suits their purpose

Yes this study course is designed to rope in the young. Primarily it is to be electronic and interactive. Over 50s don’t like that . Geoff Jackson’s comments on the broadcast were disparaging the older ones.. it is a case of “keep up with the times or fall behind “

JW Stream - Studio
by neat blue dog inwe are pleased to inform you that, where possible, the 2021 circuit assembly with the circuit overseer (ca-co) program and the 2021 special meeting with regular pioneers, special pioneers, and field missionaries program will be broadcast via a product called jw stream–studio.
this product will allow attendees to watch a live stream of their circuit’s programs from their homes.
if this provision will be used in your circuit, the circuit overseer will provide further information to the elders.

Jehovah Will Protect You with Powerful Angels
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | march 2021. study article 13. jehovah will protect you—how?.
14 we also have the support of myriads of powerful angels.
think of what just one angel can do!

Divine protection.... even to the most believing dub it is patchy at best. E.g. We read of experiences in Soviet era where key overseers had their lives apparently spared “so the work could continue “ . Others went to the wall. In life today ,can a publisher expect an angel to stop the mouth of an aggressive dog? No.
The idea might give one courage to deal with a situation but practical help.. No it does not exist.

Are Jehovah Witness willing to end studies?
by Maria Nieves inhttps://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/watchtower-study-october-2020/how-to-conduct-a-bible-study-that-leads-to-baptism-part-two/.
i recently came across the above watchtower article which spoke about conducting bible studies which lead to baptism.
it progressed to say that if the bible study instructor does not see growth within the student or the desire to work towards baptism, then the studies should end.

Fat Freak has similar memories to mine. The Truth Book was supposed to be a chapter a week, six month study and if not at meetings by then.....cut them loose. In the Western world however most publishers never did that.
There was one Circuit Overseers wife who was notorious for ending the studies she was invited on, nobody wanted to take her
Since studies have always been like gold dust , why would you stop a good thing. Far better to be indoors chatting on the sofa with a cup of tea than out on the cold doorsteps.

Among the Witnesses speculation about what it will be like is always rampant, and fun.
You learn that their are as many views as there are Witnesses with One imagining it as he would like it. They foresee electricity, and many of the comforts we have today all miraculously produced without industry (as we know it) or pollution.
”Jehovah will provide “ ..... is their confident belief.

New JW study book / method announced on JW Broadcast
by Funky inso did anyone catch the january jw broadcast?.
it's the "spiritual content" of what would have been introduced in the october annual meeting, had the october annual meeting taken place.. morris, splane, and jackson introduce a new jw study publication: "live forever eternally - an interactive guide".. details were sparse, but apparently it is a 256 page book (when in actual printed form), primarily designed to be used in its electronic form, stuffed with links to videos.. it is designed to be "just one book" to be studied prior to baptism, where "all 60 questions that baptism candidates have to know" are found in just one place.. the purported reason is to make jw "bible" studies more "productive", i.e., lead to more baptisms.. splane brought out the governing body's "great concern" that 10 million+ "bible" studies are conducted by jws every year, but the number of baptisms has been stuck at 200,000 - 300,000 per year for decades.
so the thinking is, this new book + a "new method of conducting studies" (again, no real detail, but apparently it involves more "discussion" and less "question and answer").. want to know my thoughts?

Haven’t yet seen the broadcast but from what is posted above, it strikes me that this study method is all to reach the young .
The very idea of studying on an interactive Tablet or computer is an anathema to older people. I would certainly never do it .Having it interspersed with videos just would not work with me. I have heard more than one faithful older dub express similar thoughts.
in Britain most of the studies are with youngsters growing up within the faith so it may work for them, I suppose...

Great news !
Providing that their understanding is correct and the Governor General confirms it...
[Edit.. why does the Queen's representative have to get involved? It ought to be down to the Aus. Government ]

How many TRUE BELIEVERS do you think are left in the Organization?
by pistolpete ini have a few jw relatives who are true believers.
by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.
all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.

No, I say that tbe main part of the 8 and a half million are firm in their belief. They may not know as much as we did in the past, but they believe in Armageddon and wang to live in the New World.
Of course there will be a certain number of youngsters who don't really believe and some old ones who have lost the plot and just keep going out of habit,.... but my experiences tell me that thease are relatively few..

QUITTING QUIETLY here is the Canadian version of the document
by gone for good ina while back, i suggested that an easy, quick, quiet exit with the signing and dating of a concise and irrefutable document would spur faders and pimos to preempt the elders' interference by quitting quietly first , before a fade or a confrontation.
here is the document .

Based on my experience in various B of Es, sadly a document such as this would produce a good laugh among the elders.
They would then simply make the announcement that you were no longer a Witness. If there were any complaints they would just say that they had been obliged to inform the congregation of your decision and any steps of shunning you were their own choice. ( That's a lie we know but still.....)
