Holy Crap!!!
I guess you`d have to believe this "fish story" when it`s told!
this is a picture of a catfish that a guy recently caught at lake texhoma.
according to the news, he was fishing from the shore with a 20 pound test line.
when he realized what a huge fish he had caught, he stayed in the water with it .
Holy Crap!!!

the archie's in 1969 "sugar sugar"?
for me it was all about being a kid, summertime, ice cream and the a & w drive in for a hot dog & root beer.
i hear it on the drive home yesterday and turned it way up.
`68 & `69 was the transition period of studying with JW`s, and when we stopped celebrating
"worldly events" I had no idea at this time what extreme life changes were on their
way for our lives then. So I guess this in when JW`s took my enjoyment of being a youth
away.
I`m still below a "junior"! I guess that makes me still an"infant"!!
Welcome to the ones that are new (er) than me.
it's so nice to have a cat around the house
Typical kitty! Can`t keep them from wandering!
Here kitty kitty, where are you?
.
as you get older, do you find yourself gravitating towards softer music, or do you find you like the harder stuff as much as ever?.
.
I`m just a hard rock woman all the way! Always have been.
growing up in the jw religion and having a dad who was an elder, i remember how controlling they were.
i find it amazing now just how much of my childhood i missed out on.
i couldn't watch alot of t.v.
Excellent job OFC!!! Your words, all of our thoughts.
on my "backyard rink" thread some of us were bragging about our kids.
confusedjw and scootergirl shared their kids' hockey and skating successes.. i thought it would be cool to have a thread where parents (and other relatives) could post their kids' achievements as they come along.. births, first steps, first words, sports/academic achievements, etc.
i'll start:.
Of course this is a topic we`ll just jump right into!! We love it!!
I`m a proud parent of a "soon to be" 14 year old boy, who appears to have his Dad`s musical
talents. He attended a performing arts elementary school and was in the school`s marching
band. He has acquired the knowledge to be able to play drums, keyboards, and the bass because
of this school experience. We have been very fortunate to be able to put these instruments in his
bedroom. ( lucky fellow!) Not a complete drum set yet!! I`m not ready for that in a small condo!
But nothing brings me more joy than to be in the house doing stuff and listening to the creativity coming
from my son`s room. This past summer by his own means he purchased his first guitar, he picked a
Dimebag Darrell signature Washburn, he`s a happy guy! Now I`m just waiting to see if he becomes
a future Rock Star!
remember when we had those large conventions and you volunteered for k p work.
i can't remember how many bushels of potatoes and onions i peeled over the years.
it was alot of fun when we had a group doing it and all the while missing out on all the spiritual food.
Oh yes those were the days! Now those were good JW memories!
I did prep, and serving line usually. loved it! That`s when you got to *scope* out all the cute
guys!!!

That was funny Nina!
Most of these stories are all the same, and mine is in there as well. And we`re all about the same
age bracket, give or take 10 years. Says alot for what the WTS called "discipline" for your kids.
Totally controling. If there wasn`t physical there was definitely emotional abuse going on!
No wonder we ended up here looking for compassion, and answers.
