WHOPPING WTS LIES ON BLOOD
by DannyHaszard inrichard parker, a member of the jehovah`s witnesses, says that the refusal of transfusions is one of their fundamental beliefs.
based on what is written in the bible.. .
... that while it is a controversial issue, the refusal of transfusions is a matter of faith for witnesses, and deserves to be respected as their choice.

So basically, if you were to have a blood transfusion as a JW, you would not be disfellowshipped, but you would have disassociated yourself by your own actions. [That is accaepting the blood transfusion]

If you are an active JW and give into a transfusion, why not get your doctor to label your blood bag "Fe"....for Iron? as it has a similar color to stored blood. That way, if anyone spots you, you can say you are simply having an iron infusion to boost you low hemaglobin levels?
Just a thought. -

He has been hung out to dry since then from what I am told by some Aussies who know him! -

Anyone seen a Memorial talk outline?
by undercover inif i remember correctly, someone last year posted the memorial talk outline a week or so before the memorial.. does anyone have access to this year's outline?
.
i'm curious because of the new wt article that basically backs away from teaching that the 144,000 were all chosen by 1935. i'd like to see how it is mentioned in this year's talk because, as we all know, the memorial talk is more about the anointed and how they alone partake than it is about jesus..
-

The outline from last year was the same as every other year to about 1997/8. Same old hash served up by someone trying to put their stamp on it...kinda like the National Anthem sung at the Football with a different singer each year.
You would hope for the poor people who have to attend that they might give them a new one! -

How do I use the "Anointed are nothing special" info
by OnTheWayOut inthe recent thread about the upcoming qfr on the anointed, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/130668/1.ashx.
discusses the possibilities on what the borg are up to.
okay, whatever, but i want to use the information to my advantage.

Yeah, I think that there needs to be lots of questions on the GB and why they have a "special" place in the "channel" os spirit over the rest of the "annointed".
If they are the same and no better that appointed elders [who appointed them anyway?] then what the hell is eveyone one doing listening to them. Maybe I have the new light! Just havent released it yet!
In reality, there is as much spirit on the GB as there is on any body of elders. The majority vote wins.....every time.
It is a consensus thing. That is all. -

Strange Progressive Dreams
by Casper ini have been widowed twice, once at 28 and again at 41.... .
since that time i had vivid dreams of both husbands.
my first husband, started out with me looking for him, everywhere.

depends on your perspective. Dreams of loved ones can mean in some circles that the deceased loved on is checking in on you from their new abode. Maybe they were both helping you via your dreams to move on and you were helping them to move on by being ok with their new situation and that you were coming to terms with your new situation.
It is easy to still look at life/death through with some tainting from former beliefs? And there are other points of view.
What wonderful dreams! -

URGENT - UK Elders (or elders wives)
by S EIGHT ini am in urgent need of a copy of a letter sent to uk elders in regard to weddings held at the kh and specific comments about the responsibilities of the brother giving the wedding talk.
i'm told this is a fairly recent letter.. we have an elder kicking up hell about innactive ones who want to come and watch the wedding.
he happens to be the one giving the talk and is acting like he has full control on this wedding.

Vitty,
I get the feeling that it is changing. The inactive could also be one of those dreaded apostates and could influence the flock! -

building commitee
by logic inis anyone familiar with the building commitee?
it appears that alot of hanky panky is going on here.
for instance, i know for a fact that some contractors have arrangements to be paid.

We did a Qb hall. We had one paid contractor who helped us with the ground plumbing. His wife at the time was studying. We didnt have any locals who could do the work and this guy kept his rate low.
The RBC did charge a fee for their services.
Later we had one of them move into our local cong. He was always moving receipts through the congregation account. He would get re-immbursed and the cong the claimed it back from the society somehow. [perhaps others know who and why?]
I saw some of the receipts he was claiming. Some for his dry cleaning and other things that most would just wear the cost themselves. It all seemed a bit suspect!
