  i went to the meeting yesterday because the out of town speaker and his wife are good friends of my wife and i. after the meeting we got invited to someones house who was feeding the speaker because they know that we are friends and because ive missed lots of meetings in the last two months and my wife and i need a good love bombing!

  well during our lunch i was complaining about my having braces at 30 and how stupid i looked with them and the 83 year old sisters house we were at told me that i wasted my money on them because the end would be here with 7 years anyway.

  i asked her "do you really think so?

  People like that lady are the ones I really feel sorry for. Makes me think if she found out the truth about the troof she would shit in her knickers. In this case I amost think its best to let her remain ignorant.

  LMFAO.. as long as you don't feel like such a flunky when you return to the "truth", now that you realize it's all a lie. Good luck with that.

  At least now I wouldn't feel sorry for you when you and your "nice JW girl" have kids that grow up to leave the "truth" one day and realize their daddy was a mindless slack-jawed jackass that wasted all of his and part of their lives for a bunch of bullshit. Take care.

  The Dynamics of online Apostaworld: the History

  i've been really interested in this myself for a while as the online apostacommunity has grown large over the last couple of years.. as most of you probably realize, the internet has been instrumental for apostates to hook up and make a virtual fist at the watchtower, the turbulent history the online apostacommunity might interest you alot.

  it interests me.. as i'm not someone that was here from the beginning, i'd really like to hear the stories of the oldtimers, the first apostates to hook up through the net, the stories from the first boards and sites that were apostate and the evolution of the apostacommunity after that.

  i'm asking people that have been involved since at least 2002 or before to share their stories and views and things that stirred their emotions.

  the genetic manipulation thread got me thinking about this: as the times change, there will no doubt be more and more things the wts frowns upon, and these might be phrased in the ypa format similar to a list such as "you might be a redneck jedi if ..." so how about it?

  i can't think of much now, but one elder once expressed that he didn't want his daughter to have a cd player.

  it doesn't have to be technological, there's the social stuff... i know some of this has been done before so lets put it all in one thread!
