Sitting here at work, staring at the clock in anticipation to get home and get ready for the NIN concert tonight. My favorite band, and I've never seen them. I'm very excited, and I'm gonna party it up all night long!

Anybody here who still has faith in God and belief in the Bible?
by Sheepish inthere seems to be a lot of folks here who are bitter and want nothing to do with organized religion (understandable!
) or the belief in a god who cares about us, and has a "plan".or even anyone who has actually read and studied the bible, and understands what's going on it it.
so many just take stuff out of context looking for "mistakes" and loopholes.

I don't believe it's inspired by "God", that's for sure. There are some cute passages, but I really believe the world would be much better off if people would wake up and realize that donkey's don't talk and Sun's don't stand still to help tribe's win battles.

first of all i find it very hard to pray...i dont like the way we have to talk into the air hoping he is listening.. i dont like the way he expects us to do his will no matter what.. i just dont like god..i hate his way of doing things and i dont like that he has permitted his creation to suffer whilst we are living.. ill never love jehovah

Have you been to a doctor to get some skin cream? It should work better than cursing out imaginary deities.. just a suggestion. I had exema as a kid and I know how tormenting that is. Its treatable.

by doogie infreewilly just posted some entertaining shtuff from a new friend he made on that msn jw thread.
i posted on there too and new friends are just coming out of the woodwork!
it seems like everyday there's another handful of messages from these jw defenders (some of them are unbelievably mean too!).

I can't get into a conversation with a Dub about blood transfusions without wanting to strangle one in sheer frustration. They always have that deer in the headlights look of utter stupidity with a small bead of saliva forming at the mouth corners.
Thank God society will jump in and get kids out of the "care" of these lunatics when they have to. Most times.

Of Late Many Here Seem To Be Preaching Aethiesm..
by Qcmbr inwhen i first came here a while back there was plenty of discussion around and about jw topics and general chit chat but of late i've felt quite a sharp increase in posts that are: .
1/ preaching aethism (as opposed to putting it forward in a respectful way as an alternate viewpoint.
2/ vitriolic attacks on those who dare have another view ('damn those stupid heretical believers') .

Qcmbr you gotta realize man that most ex-Dubs have got the lowest possible tolerance for unprovable beliefs than probably any other group of people. We've taken it in the ass for too many years and it seriously makes a lot of us nausious to even read an account of someone bobble-headedly yapping about ANOTHER heap of unprovable make believe. And atheism is spelt 'atheism'.
Although I would like to say im sorry for a harsh comment I made to you recently about the mormons.. I was reading an account about JW shunning in another thread that really pissed me off and I carried it over to your thread a while ago.. seriously, sorry bout that.
