I'd say hypocrisy is bleating sympathy for people whose idea of the proper treatment of prisoners is to saw their heads off with rusty knives.

colleen graffy told the bbc the deaths were part of a strategy and "a tactic to further the jihadi cause", but taking their own lives was unnecessary.

Who cares if the murderous scum kill themselves? Give them the pill or the rope or a gas oven or whatever it takes. The world will be a better place. As far as the hell of Guantanamo goes, most of the prisoners that have been released said it was a great place. The "hellhole" is pure lefty propaganda.

peak oil?
by PrimateDave ini know we have some intelligent people here, so i thought i might ask what you think about 'peak oil'.
i became familiar with the concept after watching a video a year and a half ago called "the end of suburbia".
it was strange at the time because i remembered reading a 2003 awake!

Peak oil is just another "the sky is falling" myth. His numbers worked out for the US but only because exploration off the West and East Coasts and in the Eastern Gulf was stopped. Oil availability is based on simple economics, if the price is high enough, there's more oil. Actual recovery typically runs anywhere from 30 - 45% so there's still a lot of hydrocarbon left in supposedly used up fields. Then there's the whole subject of abiogenic hydrocarbons which is becoming very interesting, some intriguing events lately.

This "greediness" issue is going to be another one of these "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin" deals. Definitions of greediness will abound.
