  The only reason why parents don't commit corporal punishment today is because the government has decided how to punish our children. If you spank your child and someone or the child tell the teacher at school then the parents go to jail and loose their kids. I just want to know one thing here ?

  Where the hell was the government when I was a kid and being beat profusely ? I can say that today even though I was raised in a very rough upbringing I am mentally stable and a responsible person, so I guess all those beatings wasn't that bad after all.

  i rented a house in the late !970's and the contents in the home were given to me.. it happened to be books: ( making my life happy, revelation, children bible stories, listening to the great teacher ) i was enjoying the reading.. -----------------------------------.

  a few years later began to notice awake magazines in doctor offices, and other public places and read them and enjoyed them.. ------------------------------------.

  late 1980's my 7th son was 2 yrs.

  this time they really did call the police on me lol!

  they backed out though, they called, then canceled the call after a while and the police never came to charge me with recording them, pitty really.. http://www.quad-central.com/~dan2007.

  there is the link, i was unable to edit the audio file like i usually do to take out the blank spaces and amplify the volume, so if someone could do that with the wav file on the server that would be great!.

  That's funny because it is not illegal to record someone on tape. The only thing is if they were not previously notified of the recording you could not use it in court. Thats all there is to it. Hell you can video tape your neighbor pumpin his wife through their bedroom window and there is no law for that either. What a bunch of numb dumbs. It's too bad the cop did'nt show up because he would of laughed at them.

  What was the first thing Adam said when he set eyes on Eve?

  according to the bible he decided to name her "woman".

  in the previous verses he had been on an exercise to name all the beasts of the field and birds of the air.. personally, if i'd been wandering around a paradise garden on my own for years naming animals and suddenly set eyes on a perfect naked woman, i think i would be inclined to invent the first swear word.. although later, when eve gave birth, adam said it had been "with the lord's help".

  so maybe he wasn't quite as spontaneous as i'd imagined, or maybe adam thought god was serious when he said she was a "helper".

  ok, this is gross.. i use to work in a restaurant in fl.

  this lady use to come in that we called poopy pants.

  (not to her face) anyway, she would sit, eat, and go to the bathroom like clockwork.

  i threw everything away except the bible (which i now know is crap), the songbook and reasoning from the scriptures ( to use against them... primarily the conversation stopper part).

  so many posters seem be able to access jw info easily and quote it... i wonder if i should have kept everything.

  at the time, it was a way to start over and commit to never going back.

  Yep I threw mine all in the garbage, then I called my jW mom and told her I had tossed them. Afterwards I thought that she might sneak over and get them out of my garbage so I went to my neighbor and asked him If I could toss them in his can. He laughed and said "HELL YEAH" go for it.

  how does a benevolent and loving god explain away his ecological system whose very persistence relies on the killing and suffering of animals that have fear and pain receptors and know when they are about to get it?

  Flyinghighnow,

  Hi there girl friend. The ol back is not doing good at all, I now take double the pain killers than before and the pain is still there. I try to do a little work and I feel like I've been hit by a mack truck. The therapist says there is more wrong than what we know. There is a problem not just in the lower back but problems in the mid section too. Another ct scan this week. No medical insurance, the bills are going to kill me if the back pain doesn't.

  I have been having trouble getting used to the fact that I am not to work anymore, I am an outside guy and one who gets bored very easy. That's depressing in itself. So should I be grateful to be alive ? I have not figured that one yet.

  Anyway thanks for thinking of me, I really appreciate that.
