Really ? That's odd I don't remember hearing North Korea building nuclear weapons back then, it did not happen until Bush took office and attacked Iraq on a pack of lies.

Some may wish to call him a clown. But what is the president to do when faced with these bad guys? Jump in a hole and pretend nothin' is wrong? I just don't get that. This is not 1800 anymore. Isolationism won't work.

This is about the stupidest remark I have ever heard. Bush has made the situation worse by his actions and if had done his job fairly we would not be in the predicament we are in right now with Iran and North Korea.

was thinking about this the other day and wanted to get your (yes: your) opinion.

i find myself slipping farther and farther down the agnostic scale in my thinking--it's possible that i'll end up an atheist.

my suspicion is that because i was raised being taught that all other religions are false, that i came to the conclusion that if the witnesses don't have "the truth" then nobody does.

WT monitors sites?

there was a post on the other day someone was asking about whether the wt monitors websites such as this and other "apostate" sites.. unfortunately i couldn't find it to add this to it.

i remembered a jw who worked on installing computers at london bethel, some time ago telling me that the wt did monitor websites.

this jw is gradually fading away from being one, so can't say to much about him.

I really don't give a rats ass if they read whatever I got to say, I really don't give a crap if they know who I am or where I live. I do not fear the borg anymore and they have absolutely no control over me at all. And they NEVER WILL !

so, i had just woke up, and i was sitting on my couch.

i'm wearing a pair of worn khaki shorts, and a tshirt.. there is a subtle knock on the door.

so, i walk over to the door.

That was so cool I laughed my ass off. They were on the property today that I manage, I asked them if they were solicitors ( I knew who they were) they said no they were out teaching others about the bible. I got pissed because I knew that the real truth was they were teaching others about their cult. So I told them that they were trespassing and told them to leave now. I never seen two men run like scared little chickens. I smiled for awhile afterwards thinking "Got you suckers"

This board had a great impact on me when I first came here about 5 or 6 years ago, Today I come here just for fun, maybe post once in awhile, relay some info I might have but the impact is long gone. I have no doubt that the WTBS is a cult and they will never be able to fool me again.

I QUIT !!!

did any of you do something really naughty and forbidden after you left the wts?

i waited almost 6 months, then realized i could smoke because there wasn't anyone to tell me what i can and can't do, so if i wanted to, i could smoke......so i did.

it wasn't long until i began to regret doing that.

I am there with you. I know it is a bitch to quit. But let me tell you, be aware of everything you do and when it is something that makes you want to smoke you do something different. I quit for two years and then started a year and a half ago. I was dating someone who smoked. At first it did not bother me, I felt like I had it under control and one day we were in the bar playing some pool, drinking some beer and I was sitting at the table and I seen that cig sitting there smoldering. My first thought was put it out, it stank terrible but then I thought I wonder if I would still like it after all this time and that was all she wrote ! I was back to smoking.

So you have to be aware of what you are doing and stay away from those things that cause you to want to smoke. In November on our state ballot here in California, they have a proposition 86 if voted in it will raise our cigs. to almost $ 7.00 a pack. I figure to hell with that I'm not going to pay that kind of price for something that is just killing me anyways. So I am right behind you once again going to put the fire out of smoking.
