I am curious about something on this subject. Did the members decide they were of the anointed before 1914 or was it previous to then ? If members decided they were of the anointed after 1914 then can we assume that in 2014 they will all be dead ? Can we expect that 2014 will be when the GB will make their changes to their doctrine ?

it says that when jesus annointed ones have been tried and sifted, then they will recieve a "permanent mark' on their forehead that they have been tried and found worthy.
they can't then lose their salvation.

No but I do depend on the "do not call list" you can go to www.donotcall.com and register your number there and the telemarketers will no longer call you and if they do ? Then you can file a report on them and they will be fined rather steeply. I believe it is a $11,000.00 fine. Since filing my number I do not get any calls from those type of sellers anymore...

Salvation lie within.
This statement alone stands for itself. The scriptures say there is one faith and one baptism. The one faith is in Christ not a church. Now there are many religions who teach that Christ alone is the salvation of man. It is good to attend church I think because it is a place to worship and to learn about Jesus but is not detrimental for salvation. Excepting the Christ as your personal saviour is vital for salvation.
People tend to think that being christian is to be perfect but in reality to be human is to be imperfect. No matter what church you will find imperfect people but they love Jesus who is the light of true faith and not a religion. You find this faith in your own heart and not in a religion. The problem with the JW faith and others alike are the fact that they want you to put your faith in them rather than in the true faith which is in Christ.
Good luck with your friend and I hope that this person has a open heart to search for that inner peace.

I had to laugh. I went into that site to make a reply but had to sign up. I was not willing to do that but I could not help but notice the threat on the sign up page to something like " If you anything mean or discriminating against the religion you could face LEGAL ACTION. I just about fell on the floor I laughed so hard. Like get a grip WTBS you people are so lost inside themselves it's pathetic....

this is my first time posting but i remembered something today that i thought was worth sharing.
when i was a teenager and going to the hall (i successfully faded about seventeen years ago), there was a family who would come to the hall in all their sunday finery (better clothes than we can afford), drove up in their nice luxury vehicle etc.

her religion has basically the same teachings : the paradise, disfellowshipping, marrying "only in the lord" , no college, submissive women; the whole bit!

In truth there is not much to separate Jehovah's Witnesses from the Exclusive Brethren, Christadelphians, Baptists, Mennonites, Amish, Pentecostals, Mormons, Adventists and all the rest.
Oh yes there is. A big difference. Now I will admit that some faiths do add legalism in the churches and they do indoctrinate beliefs but most christian faiths do teach the truth about Christ. They believe in the trinity God who was Christ and that only through Christ can one be saved. So in my oppinion they are not considered cults. The only exception to these are the non-denomination churches, they don't add legalism etc into their faith or at least none I am familiar with.
And for what I know about cults Jehovahs Witnesses top them all !

This is a subject I have never understood very well coming from the dubs. They claim to be of the 144,000 but doesn't the bible clearly say that the 144,000 are of the 12 tribes of Israel ? So do the dubs think they are of the Israelite tribes ? Is it not also true that these 12 tribes are Jewish ? Do the dubs now think that they are Jewish, because Israelite's are Jewish are they not.?
And then who appoints these 144,000 in the Borg ? Or do they just appoint themselves ? So one mourning someone wakes up and says OH I am one of the remnant ? How ludacris is that. That faith is so stupid it makes me sick to see that so many have fallen for that line of crap including myself. Only I was never baptised and was not in long. So I don't know a lot of the deep stuff believed in the society.

Every single one of them. I still watch the show daily. When barney left the show and Warren took over it was never the same. He was an awesome actor, and evrything he did all the family could enjoy. This was very sad for me too see... I will miss him. Gods speed Mr. Knotts.
