Maybe later. I think that maybe it was a little to soon to try and do this ... sorry. I wish I could delete this thread, but I don't know how. Really sorry.

the american red cross is coordinating blood donations nationwide.
you can call (800) give-life to schedule an appointment locally.
they are trying to encourage people to make appointments for the next few weeks.
The American Red cross is coordinating blood donations nationwide. You can call (800) Give-Life to schedule an appointment locally. They are trying to encourage people to make appointments for the next few weeks. With the tragedy so fresh, everyone is anxious to donate now, but inevitably, donations will decrease as time passes. The need however, will not. You can also make a tax deductible credit card donation to the Red Cross by calling (800)Help Now.

my father in law just called me to see how we were doing here this evening.
i was glad to hear from him, but of course i got a good dose of jw reasoning along with the concern.. he mentioned he was on his way to a dentists appointment this morning and was listening to the awake!
magazine on tape.
I discovered the perfect level of intoxication with which to relate to my relatives last night. After 1 good 7 & 7 and 2 really strong White Russians, It was a breeze. My mother called expressing concern for my husband (who was released from work because of working in a high profile federal building). She quickly followed it up with a few "Anguish of Nations not knowing the way out" and the devil walking about "like a roaring lion seeking to devour someone" comments. I just told her that frankly, I wasn't in the mood to listen to anyone gloat over the days tragedy. When she denied gloating and switched to expressing concern for our "brothers and sisters" who may have been effected, I told her that I was of the belief that no one groups' loss was any more tragic than anothers....... It was great. I may never converse with them sober again.

it was reported on the news that half of the ny fire force lost their lives today due to the tragedy at the wtc.
i will pray for their families.. to all the fire fighter in the us and the world over.
i thank you for your hard work.
To everyone whose job it is to keep us safe:
I don't know you, but I thank you. Because of what you do, day in and
day out, my world is safer. I thank your family. They are willing to
live every day with the quiet knowledge that this might be the day that you trade your safety for mine. I thank them because I know that I don't have that kind of courage. I love my husband and child more than I could begin to articulate. I would not hesitate to ask you do whatever was necessary to keep them safe. Without compunction, I would send you into the fire. I thank you, because I know that you would go, without having to be sent.
When 202 of our nations' firefighters and 57 of our police officers died Tuesday , I prayed for them. I prayed for thier wives, husbands daughters and sons. I prayed for you, and your family. I prayed for your comfort and saftey. I prayed for your continued courage. I asked forgiveness for not having prayed before now.

My husband and I are planning to. I am thinking about organizing all of my xjw friends in my area and making it a group effort.
PS "My area" is Cincinnati Ohio. If any of you live near here, please send me an email. I need all of the contacts and friends I can get right now. The fam is really putting on the pressure.

shelby, .
i will say the same thing to you as i said to shelby.
i read your posts when they are a flower and i think you are quite a woman and you posses so much love and understanding.
I am very new to this board, but I find it entirely refreshing to have a place to visit where I know that passion exists. I had forgotten that there was such a place. Women who dare to speak thier mind?!! Men who express thier deepest sorrows and greatest joys. The openness and the freedom to do, say and be whatever and whomever we are. This is the stuff that dreams are made of. Bitterness and fighting will exist anytime you take this many passionate people and give them all free reign to express how they really feel. Thank, God, The Universe, My Higher Power, Budah, Love .... I don't know what to call it yet, but I am grateful.
I have grown to respect many of you, care for some of you and detest a few of you, but I am happy to have the chance to read from all of you.
