I find the bible not boring at all. Some of the bible books contain the best poetry I have ever read. The bible is among my most favorite books to read. I have the bible in three different languages, but for some reason I get most out of the Dutch bible. I truly love reading in it.

however, the older i got the more boring the bible seemed.
obviously, it had a lot to do with repetition.

nightmares

i usually wake up during or after a nightmare with an extremely dry mouth and a pounding headache.
the nightmares occur about 4 or 5 times a week.

i get them, along with sleep paralysis...
What is sleep paralysis?? I have never heard of this and I'm eager to know what it is.
Just a thought (because alcohol dehydrates you) - are you drinking enough water through the day? Dehydration will give you a dry mouth and a real bad headache. ;
Thanks sad emo. Yes, I thought of that, and have been drinking extra water before going to bed. I always drink plenty of fluids, because I had kidney stones a couple of years ago, and I never, ever want to deal with kidney stones again, so I make sure to drink plenty of water.
Is there a situation going on right now that needs to be dealt with, and is troubling to you?
Isn't there always some sort of situation in our lives? I think the only thing that really troubles me is the fact that I work too much, but on the other hand, I don't really mind it, because I am planning on taking a year off, so I know that working too much is only temporary. I'm not troubled too easily though, and as I am looking forward to my year off, it makes things a lot easier.

Hiring a JW or not?
by fairchild ini work with about 30 guys who fail to realize that one can actually hold a conversation without swear words and still make sense.
it doesn't happen that way.
the words they use frequently make the f-word look like a polished piece of vocabulary.. now, about 4 months ago, the son of a jw family in good standing applied for a job there.

Um, I definitely would, if they didn't shun me. But it is tough to go talk to someone, knowing that they will feel uncomfortable, because they are supposed to shun you. But as he will be hired in the girl's section soon, there should not be a problem. The girl's and the boy's section are two completely different worlds. He will be patted on the back for his good looks, and they will fall over each other, trying to make him feel comfortable. The younger ones will ask him to go on a date (he is quite good looking), and the older ones will "mother" him. Problem solved.
Sigh, I just came home from another day at work. Totally understaffed. People don't call in sick, they call in "drunk" these days.

I think it would be important to know what's happening in your nightmares, for anyone to try to help you figure out what may or may not be causing them.....
They are really all different, but there are always people involved whom I know or whom I used to know.
They were always very graphic and very vivid

Sometimes certain meds you might be on can cause your brain to work overtime while your trying to sleep and can cause nightmares
I don't take any meds at all, just my usual vitamins and natural supplements which I have been taking for years. I don't even take as much as a pain killer.
mmm...I get them now and then. It's usually when I'm in a stressful time
I have a rather stressful job, but I always leave my job at the door when I come home. The stress doesn't really get to me, it never has.
The dry mouth and headache give me a feeling as if the nightmares result from a physical cause. I am allergic to alcohol, and the few times when I did have a few sips from someone's drink, that is exactly how I would feel. Waking up in the middle of the night with a very dry mouth and a pounding headache.

Personally, I do not believe in the trinity. But just to be fair.. I think that whether someone believes in the trinity or not might greatly depend on which bible version one uses.

is there really going to be a new system?
I honestly don't know. But if there was, I would not live any differently as I live now. I try to be a decent person and help others where I can. If "searching for and reaching out to God" for over 30 years of my life did not show any results, then I'm sure He'll forgive me that I stopped trying.

I think my cat is EVIL....
by lola28 inokay i have a problem and it is called jacob my cat.
we found him a few months ago ( he was a stray and my mom brought him home) and the first day he was fine but over the last two months his behavior has gotten really bad.
he has developed the habit of biting (hard) and he also scrathes you for no reason.
