  Please answer Big Tex. All JW apologists like you owe him at least that much. Strange how your so-called "loving" religion has created an abnormal aversion to true righteousness and in it's place is apathy and callousness towards victims.

  The last elder that tried to force that garbage down my throat was told that I have decided to "quit touching the unclean thing", and that was the Watchtower and all those that supported her rotten, stinking policies. I'm glad that any lurkers will get to see the true JW thinking when reading this thread.

  I almost bought a flag......

  the fog must be lifted now for me after two and a half years out of the borg.. today whilst browsing for some lawn decor, i was drawn to the american flag display in the store.

  i looked it over good - all the flag pole styles, sizes, quality.

  i walked away without buying one, only due to trying to keep wifey out of the hot seat, as she still has relatives in - i don't any longer.

  Hi mama,

  I did the same thing this year. We put a flag up, several in flowerpots (gave the jw's something to oogle as they were avoiding my house handing out their tract this summer LOL), had my kids dressed in red t-shirts for the Fourth of July, complete with red, white and blue hair decorations for the girls. They recieved alot of compliments.

  My husband, myself, and kids even rode on a float in the parade. We are making ourselves very visible. As a witness I always felt I was creeping around the fringes of real life, and I am thrilled to have life with it's richness and fullness back again, instead of the bleak, dreary jw way.

  Did the fireworks thing, too. It felt great. I was patriotic before I became a witless, and I always felt bad about squashing those feelings. It was very hard on my grandfather -WW2 vet-when I converted. I only wish he were alive now to see us out and celebrating.

  a car full of sisters whom i've known for years showed up today.

  one got out of the car and asked if i got my "invitation".

  she let me know that they were supposed to give one to everybody.

  Hehehe Honestly, your posts always give me a chuckle!

  I can guarantee you were purposely passed over. My husband and I had a kick out of standing in our picture window and watching the jw's canvass our neighborhood and walk pass our house with averted eyes and lowered heads. And these were people that were involved in our wedding, took trips with us, and would come over and eat our food.

  i'm thrilled to tell you about the latest court decision made in california a few days ago which kimberlee norris said would be announced today, monday, on jwd.. on july 3rd, i started a thread where the last two rulings in the napa county, california lawsuit, charissa w. v. watchtower, new york, et al., were posted.

  both decisions were favorable to the plaintiff.

  Hey Cathy, I bought a hard copy of that issue to keep in my file.

  I wonder if any dubs actually READ the article. I only say that because so many in my old hall acted like it was a matter of pride to only read society literature. I even had a few sneer at me for keeping up with several newspapers, saying that it wasn't necessary-one actually said that everything she needed to learn was in the publications, not in the news.
