  Does Vodka have to be Russian

  i have had skyye vodka, made in good old california, san fran to be exact.

  ketel one is from holland and it seems to be smoother than stoly.... now i have heard that even texas makes a vodka?

  Awww, finally a post I can be passionate about. My drink of drinks for many years. Vodka on the rocks and not just Vodka, other wise you get the stuff Farkle talked about...well-vodka. No, you have to ask for Stoli on the rocks. I go back to the days when Smirnoff Silver or Smirnoff 100 were the best, then Stoli came along and blew everything else out. Now there are quite a few great Vodkas out there. I think Grey Goose is rated number one and there are some very good Polish Vodkas and a lot I haven't tried...yet.

  Anyone who says there's no diff between Vodkas is nuts. Bad well-vodka tastes like sweat wrung from Rosanne Barr's shorts...don't ask how I know. Good Vodka kept in the freezer pours out like a syrup..over cracked ice, not cubes...awwww yes...it's only 10:30 but I gotta go.

  Little suprises you enjoyed as a JW

  when you were a jw, remember those little things that made you happy on the inside but "sad" on the outside.

  for example, the meeting ending early or better yet, being cancelled.

  i recall a few years back the society was pushing sunday field service.

  roybatty.....Yes it was a glorious Sunday when the P.O. would announce that the visiting speaker did not show up ...of course there were those times when my heart would leap for joy only to be dashed by the follow-up..."so we'll have the pleasure of listening to Brother Boring from our own congregation on How You Can Have Peace in a Troubled World." Canned tripe. Occassionally though we would get out early. Those were truly glorious moments.

  i have one on my shoulder - it the face of a cat, i call it my egyptian cat because the face is very concise.

  Did John Denver hate the Witnesses?

  i remember hearing stories as a kid that john denver would ask all the witnesses present at his concerts to stand.

  and, then after they stood, he would play the national anthem.

  any truth to this?

  I remember all the talk about John Denver and the Johnny Carson story...don't know if it's true or not...but I will date myself now. How many of you remember a similar story about Merv Griffin when he had his old daytime talk show. According to the story, he hated Dubs but one day he had Charleton Heston on his show and remarked about how he didn't like Dubs. Supposedly Heston claimed his cleaning lady was one and he thought she was great and walked off the show. Anyone old enough to remember that one?

  i was just asking because i would like to form a protesting group for this years assembly at the millenium stadium.displaying banners about u.n connection,paedophile coverups,false prophecies etc.its our chance to fight back.

  Shoulda known you were female...only one thing worse than a pissed-off We L shman...a pissed-off Welsh-woman(?). Seriously, I'll lighten up if you will...and once again I was born in the U.S. but my ancestors came from somewhere in Wales (I coulda' really pissed you off if I'd spelled it Whales...actually I've seen that & it pissed me off because that is not a typing error..that is ignorance at its finest). I think they came over about 3 generations ago. I have the only family heirloom which is a neat platter that came from "the old country". Since I am a boxing fan and have occassion to workout at a local boxing gym, I try to keep up on the latest about Joe Calzaghe. Last I heard he beat Charles Brewer. I think he's the best out there in the super-middles...know of any other up & coming Welsh fighters?

  Here's one for you. kiS mi aSs. For a guy who thinks he is so intelligent by pointing out an obvious typing mistake, it seems strange that he would ask a question ...

  "Let me know where you came from..."

  ...that was already answered in the initial post, "Born in America...", now if you were asking where my ancestors came from, that too was answered,

  "...sooner or later going to dig into the geaneology thing."

  I would never point out someone else's ignorance unless of course they fired the first shot of rudeness. So let's either converse on a friendly basis or not at all.
