Fred Franz' Anti-Governing Body Gilead Talk...Help, Please...
by Confession infor those of you familiar with the talk mentioned in my title, i'd like a bit of help understanding what franz was trying to convey.
yes, i know it seems to have been as a result of the ongoing discussions about whether or not to take full control of the wts away from the president and give it to the governing body.
but i'm still not sure how he thought his points were doing that.

Are You a Closet Apostate Weenie?

I beleive I'd heard that it correlates with Jesus being 30 when he got dunked...you know a perfect guy replacing a perfect guy...the "New" & improved Adam or some such crap. They sit around and speculate and then expect everyone to just swallow their garbage with no proof.
Then again, maybe he had some sort of Paradise I.D. card. I remember the pic in the old Paradise Lost book with the guardian angel at the edge of Pair-o-dice kicking their sorry asses out...He probably said, "ok you two let's see some ID...we gotta call from headquarters about a couple fitting your description who are wanted for pilfering fruit...yep just as I thought...get the hell outa here and don't let me see you trying to sneak back in."
AND...why isn't there a whole chapter about A & E trying to get back in and get some of that life-saving fruit. I can see it now...."PARADISE BREAK-IN"....now showing on FOX. One lousy cherub with a flaming sword at one spot...come on...they coulda snuck around the backside...maybe got some reeds and swam under water up to a spot where they could get out undetected. Didn't this dude live to just under 1,000 years and there's NO reference to him ever trying to get back in...Hell, I'd be like Wiley Coyote trying every trick in the book.
Maybe an episode where Eve trys to seduce the flaming sword guy while Adam sneaks in... or maybe they commandeer a raging elephant and try to crash the gate...sorry it's early and I'm rambling ...again.

Mr. Flipper & Son Hear, See, and Get Footprints of Bigfoot on Pack Trip
by flipper inso, the long awaited trip began for my son and i to return to the same place he heard a bigfoot a year ago in the forests of northern california.
the trip started out unfortunately for us to be a 7 mile hike instead of a 2 to 3 mile hike in to our base camp , as huge snow drifts covered the road , making it even inaccessible for 4 wheel drive, so , with packs on backs we hiked over 50 ft long snow drifts on places on the trail.
even snow was covering one creek near the lake we were destined for .

Mr Flipper...sorry didn't mean to hijack...back to BF. growing up I spent summers in Hayfork (small Trinity county town) and remember the old-timers scaring the hell out of us kids with their BF stories...don't know if they believed everything they told us or were just trying to scare us. there was a lot of BF "activity" around that area as well as Humbolt county.

Interesting Phenomonena: "Weak" JWs Are Now The "Strong" Ones!
by minimus inyears ago, the "weak family" were the ones that always were nice jws but considered "weak in the truth".
they still went on their vacations, might've sent their kids to colleges, had plenty of "worldly" friends and so forth.
but if they had to make a stand, let's say on the "blood issue", they'd rather die than accept a transfusion!

I can see that a lot...and some variations of it. I think the borg relies on the young ones NOT knowing the old light and the old ones to carry on their warm and fuzzy rendition of the "old days." A lot of those old ones you mention probably have so much of their lives invested they don't even want to consider the possibility of the WTBS being false. They have ruled out things like 1975, regurgitating the WTBS version of those days.
Then there are the "hangers-on" like I was. Born into it, but something just never connected for me so I never made the troof my own (i.e. dunked)...but of course I felt it was my fault. they had the truth...I just wasn't worthy enough to carry the JW banner. I remember coming to their defense many times. I was probably a lot like a self-professed "JW simpathizer" who frequents this board. Not good enough to become a card-carrying JDub but by gawd defending them to the death, which just might give me an outside chance at Armageddon.
