  I was terrified of them.

  When I finally stopped going to meetings. I watched the exorcist... and I wasn't attacked by demons that night, like I was told I would be. I love to watch scary movies now w/o fear of demons.

  I believe in spirits. But they don't scare me like demons did.

  just watching nancy grace on tv, and firpo carr is claiming michael told him that he wanted the kids to be raised like he was, as a jw, with the bible in their life.

  i have heard some doozies.

  some elders forbid the couple from sitting together at the meetings unless they are engaged.

  i have heard that said from the platform.

  any brother and sister, should not be in a car together alone, unless the sister rides in the back seat.

  I guess if SHE is already in the backseat then it makes it easier for HIM.

  sorry i have to vent!

  i havent been on here is months but couldnt think of anywhere else to off load!.

  i reunited briefly with a "sister" who i knew about 13 years ago via facebook.

  LOL Shunning on facebook. gotta love it. I found an old friend on facebook. she left the truth in her youth to go have 3 kids 2 different daddies. then she came back in. While she was out I got married to a brother and we moved to another state. we have been out for 4 years. ( just stopped going)

  When I found her on facebook, I added her. we chatted once. then she deleted me. She won't tell me why. I think what happened was she looked at the groups I have joined. One of the groups is "exposing the falsehoods of the WT."

  unfortunately i had the "flu" friday and saturday.

  but i made it to the sunday session to make an apperance.. on sunday, i learned that we are,... ready, this is a new one for me :"...on the doorstep of the great tribulation..." so close brothers!

  i was that one way to increase my field service time for me and my wife was by standing at a truck stop and hand out tapes to truckers in the early mornings.

  this is the same lot that is frequented by drug dealers and hookers.

  another time, while studying, i said i did not understand the blood issue.

  abraham was prepared to cut the throat of his son because 'god' told him to.. once you accept that as perfectly natural and normal you can accept anything.

  Abraham was willing to kill his son, yes his faith in God was that total and it's harsh but the truth is it wasn't a toaster that stopped him but God himself.

  Well I can say that I am glad that I wouldn't listen to any god, goddess or voice in my head that told me to kill my child. I wouldn't sacrifice my child for the sake of not taking a blood transfusion.

  I am gald I have faith in myself and not faith in a god who like to see how far you'll go to please his crazy personality,
