warning: i am about to discuss a rather delicate subject.
if the words menstruation or period gross you out, please stop reading now.. i am going to attempt to keep names out of this discussion, as my thoughts are directed to the general population, not one individual.
i am fairly certain, however, that someone may take this personally and react with anger and insults.
Excellent post, nicely done!!
Actually, it does amaze me that some can make such senseless comments. But then again, the MALE-IS-KING attitude of Jdub-dome has and will always use that "weaker vessel" shyt to make women feel like lesser persons.
In my ENTIRE life, I have known only 1 woman who couldnt perform her duties at our place of employment due to her period, and THAT was a very uncharacteristically severe episode.
Sadly, I have hard as many women joke about this as I have heard men joking about it. I say sadly because I think women simply are trying to beat guys to the punch in order to avoid some insensitive, insulting comment from a guy.

most of the stuff posted here is negative, hateful, and blasphemous against god.
even if many of you are right in saying that the jws are wrong on many and important issues, that does not make you right.
so unless you are convinced that there is no biblical god you are facing serious trouble when you die or if the lord comes during your lifetime.
I think Mishnah is worshipping YOU KNOW!!!! He uses the same incoherent form of logic or shall I say ILLOGIC?

i have read the summary on a couple of days of the dc.
i am interested if anyone has more specific information on the changes to the ministry school.
will the bible reading stay in its present format?
It will NO LONGER be called "school" as the Org. continues to discourage higher edjumacation.
Ahhhh, but there will be Detention if you dont perform your assignment properly. That means you will be locked in your KH library with Pastor Russell books, soggy, moldy Hoagies and warm Lemon Lime Shasta left over from the 1980,s.
As for the council slip, well, council will be left up to the JUDICI....er, uhh, Council Committee, once again, in the library, where you will have your chance to repent for your poor performances and the fact that repeated Detention has done NO DAMN GOOD!!!

Hi Amazing,
I remember when you posted this on H2o. It disgusted me then, and STILL does!!! What a shame that the elders treated this sister in such a way.
As a witness, i remember one such elder who was pretty hard on everyone.
He pretty much had a stuck-up attitude- beautiful wife, 3 lovely, well behaved kids.
Years later, after moving from the area, I saw him at an assembly, and WOW, had his demeanor changed!!! He looke so humble for a change!!! I found out later, his "well-behaved" daughters were the biggest SLUTS in the congregation. So it goes wit those who think they can judge others so harshly.

amazings justice points brings me to this point.
elders truly believe that they are appointed by gods spirit.
so when they appoint someone who is:.
Elders appointed by Holy Spirit? THAT is one for the Sunday Funnies!!!! LoL
Elders are appointed for the simple reason that the more people you have IN on the scam, the harder it is to get caught. Kinda like cops and bribes,(no disrespect intended for Law Enforcement Professionals)LoL. Elders LOVE the elite little clique they are in, and even those with misgivings are likely to stay for fear of embarrassment. Dont forget, their wives love the STATUS, whatever the hell that may be, LoL.
TG for boards like this one that are freeing up info so that all can exercise freedom of thought, and choice.

hi guys...i just wanted to share with you all something that happened over the weekend, that i found really weird.. on saturday i went to a cousins wedding.....we are quite a large extended family, not jw's(only my mom is a witness), so it was nice to be with the family on such special occasions.. throughout the evening i sat down with a cousins husband, who i hadn't seen for about two years.
we had a pint and he decided to get out a pack of cigars.
now these cigars were big fat ones (you know the cuban type)...he lit up.
Hi Dig,
I, like Unanswered, think you were being thoughtful. My first encounter with the same situation as yours was to find a place out of sight to smoke. This was mainly because I was in my Mom's home. I felt I would have been disrespecting her home if I smoked inside. She was aware that I was going outside to smoke.
I also felt no need to "throw it in her face" so to speak.

no conclusions, just thoughts.. should we disfellowship all of our friends and family who are jehovah's witnesses in order to protect ourselves and in order to wake them up to see how dangerous a path they are on?.
would like to see a discussion of this.. thanks.
joel
Hi Joel,
If shunning means practically scowling when a DF'f person attends meetings, or NOT providing them with proper "spiritual" literature, i.e., KMs, then how are they being helped? (see my post, "My Last Year In the Borg")
It is ALL about mind control .....sacrafice a few in order to keep the majority in line.

a local staen island newspaper asked me to write about my experience in the borg.
here it is - what are your comments?
my life in the jehovah's witness organization.
Wow Larry.....looks like it will be a great article to read.
It is so typical, too, how we mostly just went with the flow because its all that we know, and we've been conditioned that it's "the right thing to do."
I cant wait for Part 2.
BTW...Outnfree, i currently live in NJ, altho i grew up in Queens, NY.
My experiences took place in Somerset County, NJ
