In JW land (especially if you have no certified training) all it takes is for you to volunteer a few times and speak like you know something and next thing you know you are the "go- to" guy!

What Qualifications does Geoffrey Jackson have as a Translator of the Bible ? In any Capacity ?
by smiddy ingeoffrey jackson left school at the age of 15 and began pioneering , he never attended a university ,never studied ancient greek ,hebrew or aramaic at any recognized teaching academy , he has no certificates or credentials / qualifications from any place of learning that is approved by a competent body of religious instruction .. and by his own words at the australian royal commission , under oath he stated that was his primary role as a translator of scripture into other languages .. a 15 year old drop out from school in australia is the chief/ prime translator of the bible for jehovah`s witnesses world wide in their many languages that they preach in .. it would be very interesting to see his report cards for those few years he did attend school .. is it just me , or does anybody else see that his qualifications don`t come up to scratch to be a translator of the old testament or the new testament scriptures , and be taken seriously as a translator of either , into any language.. if i am wrong anywhere in this post feel free to correct me .. smiddy.

What woke you up?
by Israel Ricky Gonzales inin march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.
so what woke me up?
an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.

I was separated from my wife, dis-associated and moving out. Because of what my wife and I was going thru at the time--I called a fellow elder to keep an eye on my sons and at least please say hello to them when he see them at the meeting--he was VERY mean and rude, told me that it's not his job to look after my kids and that I should have thought of this ahead of disassociating myself. I said all I ask is that you say hello to them for encouragement- he hung up on me!
what love- my fellow elder who I served with for 9 years! This action caused me to stay away for a few years in mental pain- how could this be Gods organization what happen to the things we learned in elders school!!!
i somehow discovered this website and it has helped me get over my anguish and give me the slap in the mental face to WAKE-UP!!!

Jehovah's witnesses owe much to the catolic church

jehovash witnesses owe the catolic church the sowing of the field where they are now preaching.. otherwise after leaving the jw i got a much better understanding of christianity and the cc..

The Governing Body will never admit this outright.
with one of the JW Broadcast that there was not a 1900 year old FDS they were speaking that there were believers not totally understanding the bible. I'm sure somewhere down the line they will try to " fake- in" something that will not give credit to Constantine nor the church.

The Governing Body was Appointed in 1971, NOT 1919

these questions were answered at the annual meeting held on october 1, 1971. on that occasion, one of the speakers pointed out that the governing body of the faithful and discreet slave preceded the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania by hundreds of years.

I wonder is the GB trying to find away to explain how "Jehovah used the Catholic Church thru Constantine to put the holy writings together to form the bible!
in mostly all of WT publications I do not think they ever add that to how the bible came together.

The WTBTS "almost" admits the truth.....
by DATA-DOG induring the wt session, the org admits that the actions of eldubs can cause an eventual shortage of "qualified " brothers, and it has.
they speak of a lack of teaching as the cause.
in reality, it's the legalism and control issues within the org itself that have caused a shortage of men who are willing to reach out.

I have found in my 30 years that each congregation is different when it comes to the rules of who qualify.
in three different congregations - field service --one said national avg, one said 10, one said min. 8. Now included as a qualification is regular family worship. meeting attendance- two said regular with reason, one said no missing a meeting unless you are sick.
If WTBS wants more men they need to spell out in print exactly what a man has to do locally.

What level of help will JESUS judge people of how they help the anointed?
now to be saved you HAVE to be a JW - how else will one know to help Christ brothers- there is no way JW is going to be knocking on doors with the message" if you don't assist Christ brothers you are not worthy to be a sheep and be saved"!

And now from the GB we have the change of how one becomes a sheep or goat!
WT 3/15/2015- to be a sheep from 1920s till 2010s understanding was how you accepted the kingdom message- now - to be a sheep it is how you treat/ support Christ brothers ( the anointed)!
Everything has become so "Governing Body- centric"! It's obey us or be destroyed! We got ours- we are on our way to heaven- you better be obedient to those GB put in charge!
with this adjusted understanding- who will keep up with the level of how you treat Christ anointed?
what will determine how much or how little your support is?
how will a person know -that to be saved you have to live a life supporting the anointed unless you become one of JW? So only JWs and those associated will pass thru Armageddon based on this WT.
where in Jesus illustrations does it say the faithful slave will lead his people's and the people's will follow and obey! Ask that of the next JW that come to your door! Also ask them if they are all going to heaven at Armageddon - who is going to run things here on earth!

Here it is again making another change or updating or restating the current "understanding". WT March 15, 2015 pages 26 -27.
1881 - christ brothers were anointed and those on earth after the 1,000 years
- to be a sheep one had to live in Gods way of love
1920 - christ brothers anointed ONLY
- to be a sheep one had to believe in gods kingdom and life in paradise on earth,acknowledge
Jesus as Lord.
1995 - christ brothers anointed ONLY
- to be sheep depended on how you responded to the message
2015 - christ brothers anointed "MEN and WOMEN" (was it just men before???)
-to be sheep one has to have the proper treatment of the anointed and support them in preaching work.
(this means that only Jehovahs Witnesses will be saved at Armageddon - it's the only way one could
even know of christ brothers)

Another reason god is a terrible "father"
by _Morpheus inits easy to look around and say if a singular all powerful were real he would stop the suffering of man and animal, a position i support.
however there is another even more basic premise i have pondered at times as well (im sure im not the first of course) : would any loving parent ever hide from their children?
consider it... our all knowing all loving father hides from us even though we cry out to know him.

Since God is not human, we need to not think of him acting like a human dad as we know it.
In Jesus explaining " the father" it is in the form of being our creator, our existence and what our bodies need to survive is how and why we look at him as " father" and not in the paternal since of the word.
God never asked us to look to him as a paternal being since he is a spirit.
