  There is an act, I forget what it's called, that prevents Catholics or anyone of a religion other than Anglicanism from ascending to the throne. Although, I was reading in the newspaper that apparently Charles' people are preparing for her to become Queen one day probably in opposition to the present Queen's wishes.

  That being said, I would rather replace our head of state with an elected one (preferrebly once every 5-10 years). Why should we be ruled by these rich, sometimes insane, and in-bred people?

  I LOVE Sunday mornings!

  in the week i have to get up at 5:15 and go to work while the rest of my family are gently snoring in their warm and toasty beds - not fair.

  on saturdays the mornings are usually a bit noisy with teenage kids and their friends coming and going, mobiles ringing and the sound of spongebob coming from my little girls room.. but sundays.

  ah sundays!.

  It was so sunny and wonderful this morning too.. but now the sun has gone down and I have to go out and leave my warm home to venture in to the almost spring like Canadian temperatures (actually its starting to get cold, and it might go below freezing, ergo flurries).

  a couple of days ago i ran into a jw at my job at walmart.

  she is a single lady around 50 years old and she looked terrible.

  i asked how she was,(she always talks to me) and she related how she had lost her job and had to work two low paying jobs.

  hi all.... i am looking for "a roman perspective on 1st century christian life" to dispel the myth that 1st century christians performed their earthly service 'door to door' (jw stylee).. any info or links appreciated.. regards.

  Plus if you wish to translate literally, kat'oikous (kata oikous) does not mean house to house at all (at least in Classical Greek), it means "down the houses." So the apostles were going "down the houses" (probably horizontal movement rather vertical ), possibly signalling, as was said before, that they were visiting houses of believers. I would think that if it were house to house preaching, as in visting everyone in the town, it would be written as apo oikous (apo takes the acc. right?) pros oikous (pros definitely takes the acc.) ["from houses to houses"].

  I don't think there are any secular sources outlining their practices... but you might want tho check the Church fathers too... in fact I think that I'll do that.

  i was reading that if a woman is raped in pakistan she can only go to court if she had witnesses to the attack------4 islamic men who witnessed the attack!

  jude 6 = 1 enoch 10:4-12, 12:4, 15:3-7 .

  This would point out two things, assuming you believe that the bible is true:

  1. The Bible isn't the sole rule of faith.

  2.Some apocryphal works must have truth mixed in with them, or may be wholly true, just not inspired by God.

  4. What meeting notes?

  I was never really good at taking notes... so I didn't take them. When you're just learning the ropes of attending meetings, they tend to tell you just to record what scriptures were quoted. Then you upgrade to writing down information.
