  a katydid has been sitting there on my screen door all day, since i woke up.

  until just now when i touched it to see if it was alive.. how cool to be a bug and just sit in the same spot all day like its nothing?.

  IP~ As a kid I read about (was it John the baptist) eating locus and honey for quite a while. So being curious and a bit off kilter in my thinking, I caught a bunch of Katy dids. I put them in the oven alive about 20 of them and proceeded to roast them. I wanted to taste one. Well then I forgot they were there and in comes my mom to cook and she found a mess of hard bugs in the oven along with a plate of honeycomb. I have no clue how she dealt with all of my antics.

  When it came down to it I did not eat them.

  I guess they were a bit too real all piled up and looking so abused.

  or is it just uncomfortable for everyone no matter what?

  do their questions get more or less detailed depending on looks?

  Blues brother~ "The Internet loves to blow up this idea and promote elders as lecherous men salivating at the idea of "talking dirty" to the miscreant," and it did not happen in your case. Do you feel left out? I had better give you a few of my elders meetings. They even ask if you orgasm..how many times did you do this act. Then they add in things like did he put his hand here and rub? Did you do it first or did he? Was oral sex involved? Did he penetrate you, blah, blah, f'ing blah. It really sucks. (No pun intended)

  How would the Society give up 1914?

  during the 1930's when the society was quietly moving jesus' presence from 1874 to 1914, it only seemed to ruffle a few feathers and most accepted this "brighter light.

  " how could the society abandon 1914 and still keep most of its followers?

  I would say it does not matter what they do. Faithful followers will justify the change anyway they can. They float along with their own self made flotation devices and soon enough what was promised and did not come will not matter. They will defend it until the death if they must. You ever notice how many people are completely wrong and won't just admit it? It is a huge thing to just admit you are on the wrong path.

  It sure would be nice if mass hysteria overtook the top of the tower and all were compelled to jump 'out' at the same time. Crazy religious groups have been known to do such things before.

  i am just so pleased to be aware of the long, fruitless history of jws pretending to interpret the bible.. interpretations belong to god, which they even admit.

  but that admission doesn't stop them from pretending to interpret.. it also doesn't stop from teaching these destructive pretenses as "divinely revealed truths" that must be accepted and taught as truth.

  they fail to recognize that they are messing with people's lives when they state doctrines they did not receive from god.. these are not doctrines of god, they are merely teachings of men.

  a friend of mine told me i had a 'present' on the way.

  I had a childhood friend make me a necklace with an upside down cross that he drilled a hole through that traveling missionaries gave him. I loved that crazy thing. It was something from his heart. I wore it to my first apostatized fest, feeling some sort of bond from it. Anyhow, I have lost the cross with the fish off of it. Guess they will not give them wire to thread it on in the can, but even worse, I hear he got reinstated. WTF? I have spoke of him before and he is the one that went from JW to addict, to prison, and then a robber, white supremacist. Well now he is back in the JW's. A prisoner for life with a huge swastika and tats all over of melting flesh, and why a JW? I don't know.

  I don't believe all the things he has done are good. who of us are, but to find he went back to the JW's...well it just broke my heart.

  I do understand that if someone gives you something especially if hand made, food music or a token...cherish it. They are giving you a piece of themselves. Those things are the best to give and receive.

  I agree. Problem is that you don't always get one with the other to the point of satisfaction on either end of the scope. BUT I am a firm believer that it is all possible. Every person with a calm face has a side not all see. So therefore, It has to be possible. (at least in mind of ideal things to happen in my life) I am sure it must be possible.

  Now will I run into one? So for now, I am enjoying being with me. Learning to let myself be 'me' and surrounding myself with people of like mind and spirit. Just growing and letting it all come out while looking within.
