  Sewing machines - a sign of the time of the end?

  clyde seems to think that the wt a long time ago referred to sewing machines as a sign that the end was near.

  i don't remember.. anyone here recall anything like that?

  okay, so this isn't long-term (i hope) horrible depression, just....a bad couple of days.

  i'm taking suggestions on how to pull out of it.

  ideas?

  if witnesses really think their version of a funeral talk is a good way to give a witness ...think again.

  ...oh yea i also was really pissed how your funeral turned out...while i was sitting there ...kept sayin to each other how much we hated it and how pissed we were that he was sayin all that shit.. .

  Did abortion lower the crime rate?

  i was watching a news program the other day, and they were using the idea that abortion has been a huge reason why crime has gone down.

  these are the reasons they said.. 1. crime in large cities started decreasing in the 1990's, roughly about 16-18 years after abortion was made legal.. 2. crime is often done by people between the ages of 16-24.

  3. abortion drops the rate and number of unwanted children being born to single mothers, or to people who do not care about them.

  Sounds familiar! I have been hinting to a friend about the abuse I receive from my husband------NO REACTION! Recently I mentioned it again and she said something about if I respected him, things would get better! It's funny--I've been married for over 20 years and I am supposed to wait for things to get better! Talk about head up your a**!!!!!!

  When I confronted her later about this, she said I took her the wrong way--also, she didn't want to hear about my problems! And I have been told my whole life that you can find the best of friends at the KH. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  the watchtower's cure-all for any injustice or question is to "wait on jehovah".

  have you had any experience showing that "waiting on jehovah" is useless??

  mrsjones is correct! When elders or friends don't have an answer to your problem, they tell you to wait on Jehovah-- or bring up that his view of time is different from ours!

  So, just sit back and take the abuse!
