Sorry to hear about yor loss.
But why are you waiting on other people to make decisions for you? Do whatever feels right for you, don't have that mentality to wait on someone to tell you what to do.
i have just heard today that my wifes mother has died suddenly of a heart attack.
she was either in her late 60's or early 70's.
she was a jw though an inactive one.
Sorry to hear about yor loss.

a jw parking a hummer at a kingdom hall.
this is nothing unusual at this hall.
when i drive by in the mornings to take the hubby to work, i often see lexus, bmws, mercedes, caddies, audis, etc.
So what's the big deal if someone drove in their BMW, Mercedes or Hummer to the KH? I know of plenty of JW's who drove nothing but BMW, Mercedes, Lexus or whatever and it was never a big deal. Many people in my KH were nurses or went to college to get their degrees. Maybe they didn't care about what other people said and instead went and got a better future for themselves, instead of dwelling of what could've happened. Instead take charge of your own lives! Don't wait on some elder to tell you what to do! You're your own person, you have the final decision on what to do with your life.
unfortunately, my digicam doesnt take the best up-close pics so this is the best that i could do.
you can see the damage that was done though.
this is me leaving the doctors office.
I just had all four of mine take out about a a month and a half ago. The oral surgeon didn't put me to sleep but I wish she had. I could hear the cracking of my wisdom teeth and they had to cut my lower ones because they were partially under the gumline. She stitched all of my extaction sites. I can still feel and see the big holes left by the wisdom teeth removal.
In my case I was in serious pain for at least 3 weeks. I developed what they call dry socket, even though its rare. I recommend following exactly the dentists order on how to treat the healing process so that it heals right.
Good luck on the healing.
haha i hope this doesn't come across as mean or jerky or libelous... but i can totally see defd becoming apostate... he posts here a lot which means he reads even more.
to me it's just a matter of "seeing it when you're ready to"... kind of like those 3d art things that were popular in the mid-90's... it's invisible until you make deep focus and at the same time blur your eyes to what you would normally see.

Futhermore, my husband and I are starting up a company that will require doing some research on the internet; I would not be to happy to find out that an employee of mine was posting to a message board and taking quite a lot of time to do so when I am paying said employee to work. If an employee is going to goof off on a message board instead of doing time critical work for me, I dont need that employee and that employee would be gone.Josie
I still fail to see what this have to do with Defd posting here. So what if he posts here during work hours, it really is none of your business. Now if he was a worker working under your company then you would have something to say. But since I don't think Defd is employed by your company I don't see why making threats about his internet usage is revelant.

like that, they wouldn't need so many elders and ms. they would have plenty of brothers to read and pass the mic.. no where in the bible do they mention how big or small a congregation should be.
if ever one day they have a hard time forming enough ms and elders, wouldn't it be simpler to just make congregations larger?
I was told by our PO that the congregation wasn't larger because they want to keep the numbers smaller so it would be easier for them to keep an eye on the flock.
So I can see how you can turn that around and say that they want to keep numbers small to keep control.

So what. I don't get it. I'm sure along the history of JWs there has to be at least more stories like this, nothing new.
i did it many times.
first of all, let me say that just about every meeting i attended was a sacrifice for me.
i was a follower, not more.
In the congregation I used to attend almost all of those between 18 - 24 years old crowd would just get up and leave after the Sunday talk. It became such an issue that the elders had to do a special talk giving advice to the congregation why it wasn't a good idea leaving after the talk.
Actually some of the MS were told to hang by the exit doors and try to stop the ones leaving early. It was kind of amusing, right after the Sunday talk watching at least 8 - 12 people walk out and leave. Everybody knew they had something planned for that Sunday evening and the Watchtower Study was in the way.
i knew several of the annointed over my life.. once when working door to door we were rejected and the annointed brother said loudly as we were leaving, "he will make good fertilizer for the ground after armageddon.
the annointed brother i worked with as a little kid used to take me to dairy queen on hot summer days to drink out of the water fountain at the back.. one brother who claimed to be of the annointed worked at the equal opportunity agency.. one guy about my age who i was friends with at bethel discovered he was of the annointed a few years ago, many years after he was baptized.
i think people will continue to make this discovery forever.. one annointed guy used to rub my knuckles together whenever he shook my hand and also used to grip my knee joint very hard, both hurt a lot.
I knew two of them. I always wondered why they were so weird. One of them would only show up at the KH whenever he wanted and would go out in service by himself. The other would come by once a month to the mettings neither of them were attending much. I wonder how they figured they were of the 'annointed' class. If I were to see any of them now I would ask them that question.
although i did put money into the contribution box untill i found out about silent lambs, i never really counted how many magazines and books i picked up or ordered and no one ever said anything about paying for them.
i just assumed one put in the box what one could.
did anyone actually figure out what they might owe and put that amount in the contribution box?
I actually never paid for any literature, and I was the one who helped out on literature and also the accountant.
