  Is your congregation on medication?

  over half my cong.

  members have mental issues and are taking prozac or some other medication for depression or other mental problems.many are going or have gone to therapists... anyone have a similar situation?

  Deep down they disfellowship people for breaking the law as I said then break the law themselves when they feel like it.....such as trading and giving out drugs to those it's not intended for.
  

  Yes witnesses are people.....but this Organisation is different in how they handle their flock who are indeed......just people.

  I agree with you. I remember elders who thought they were above everyone else, elders sons who got away with everything just because their fathers were elders in the KH. My own cousin who was a son of an elder got away with doing whatever he wanted, and he never got in trouble because of it. I got sick of it, so I decided it was time I turn the tables, I told them I was not going to let them run my life, I was the one in charge. It seem to have worked because since then they haven't bothered me.

  I you'll read the side a a prescription bottle it says..." federal law prohibits the transfer of this drug to another person"

  If the witnesses obeyed the law as they boast of doing so well........they wouldn't be trading prescription drugs back and forth as they do so often. They disfellowship you for smoking a joint because you break the law.......but they borrow and trade pills like junkies. Bastards!

  This is true about more than just witnesses. The thing is that we are trying to find bad things we can come up with so we can put them down, but deep down they are like any other group of people. They have problems like any other person in the real world, the thing is that the WT paints it likes they are the happiest people on earth, when in reality they are not.

  When I was disfellowshippied 33 YEARS AGO I sought psychological help. The counselor I spoke with kindly showed me statistics on the number of Jehovah's Witnesses who were in mental institutions. This was before the mental institutions were summarily emptied by the Feds. Of those 'inside' professing a religion, Joe Hovah's Witlesses were numero uno on the list. A massively impressive number given the fact that JW's are such a tiny slice of the American pie, especialy back then.

  Well, I have a friend who works in this field and he actually showed me statistics that completely reverses everything you're saying. Just goes to show you there's always a new statistic that can goes against a previous one.

  although it was no secret among many in the wnba it is a courageous move and she should be applauded.. however, she announced that she has been in a relationship for a few years with her former assistant coach alisha scott (i think i got her name right).

  question: do you think it is ethical for a player to have an intimate relationship with a coach?.

  do you think there will come a time, where no one will believe in god or even talk about him?.

  children at school aren't taught religion any more around here since years.. so, how long do you think it will take before no one talks about god anymore?

  This really shouldn't come as a big of a surprise. It just doesn't stop in the KH almost everybody these days is in some type of medication.

  When did you realize that Witnesses weren't much better than anyone else?

  when i joined many years ago, i really thought that they were almost perfect.....*cough*.

  and then i noticed that many were in their 2nd and 3rd marriage..... after i noticed that many were playing lotto, talking against others in the congregation.... and just yesterday, noticed that some *good* witnesses drive way beyond the speed limit.. so, more and more, i realize that they are just like everyone else, not worse, not better, but just a little more hypocrite.

  i have been looking around for a while....some real intellects around here, also fun, humorless, sincere, lost, hurt......all walks of life, huh?

  this is my first time joining in, and i was just wondering if anyone went totally wild after leaving the truth?

  i know i went overboard...sex, drugs, and more sex.

  When I was in college I had friends who's only purpose was to get me out, and they would tell me too. They would say we are going to get you out of that religion. Well, it only took a couple of months and they did get me out. I did a lot of crazy and fun stuff I never dreamed of when I was attending the KH, but I thank them today for what they did.

  ever since i stopped going to the meetings, i feel so free and liberated!

  i've been a witness my whole life up to this point and never could imagine how this could have felt!

  no more guilt trips, verbal spankings and phony superficial relationships.. they try to scare you into thinking that if you dare leave jehovah's organization tm, your life will be a barren wasteland, be overcome by satan, turn into a drug addict and never find joy and meaning in your life again.

  When I stopped going, I felt such pleasure and relief being home on weekday nights!

  After awhile, I couldn't remember how I ever functioned without having Tuesday/Thursday

  off. Then, not going to the assemblies felt even better!

  Same way I felt the day I left. Not only that but I could do other things on meeting nights. I could actually work on meeting nights, something that the congregation elders were trying to stop me from doing. Amazing how much control these people had, but it was all because they were put in that position. I remember the day I left. The elders took me to the back room to tell me what to do with my life. Right there I told them that I had to live my own life and it was my decision. Since then I haven't gone back and it felt good when I did that.
