i had a long conversation last night with an old jw friend whose sister and brother-in-law are bethelites since the 1970s.
she is an artist, and he runs a small but important department there.. we were talking about the bethel downsizing (my friend was well aware of it), and i told him i figured his sister and b-i-l would be safe due to the fact that they are now in their 60s and have something close to 4 decades seniority.
but he said no, that they were worried that they would be asked to leave as well, sent into the circuit work or as special pioneers sent where the "need is great.".

i`ve been out of the org for a while now and im perplexed about why there is such a lack of genuine live in the cong`s.
when you think about it, they are taught to exemplify jc, they are taught to exemplify the 'god of love'.
the brothers are constantly encouraged at ms & elder meetings to deal with the brothers 'lovingly'.

speaking to a sister while i was in, she mentioned to me some trouble she was having trying to get her young daughter into a skirt for the meetings.
to cut a long story short, the girl just did`nt like skirts.

it has hit my non-jw mother very hard that her husband could do that.
she cries a lot, but we are trying to be strong and hold ourselves together, and try in anyway we can to make him open his eyes..... tomorrow, i have decided to leave the crisis of conscience book on his desk with a with page on it, written on big black letters that will say.... "i was wondering if every man would be capable of shunning his own children and break up his family because of a group of men.. then i realised that no, some men have chosen to open their eyes and *truly* follow jesus, example...... with love, your daughter".

two weeks ago my wife had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
it is very sad as it was to be my first child and my wife is already 39. what hurt the most though is that none of my immediate family contacted me.
i was d/f in january and did not expect to hear regularly from my parents and sister.

I'm so sorry you and your wife lost your baby. I'm sure even Jah, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the angels also grieve. My late mom had 2 miscarriages and I truly believe somehow I'll meet my brother and sister in paradise. As far as your "Christian" JW family goes, the love has obviously cooled off. The more truth about the truth we learn, the more sense it makes that we are part of Jah's wayward people and the Bible is speaking to "us" and Jesus is cleansing the temple, leaving those left on the "inside" of the KH's, the ones who love the lies by having their ears tickled!
Just hang on a little longer please, cause our deliverance is getting near. imho
