JW Urban Legends...

just curious if jw urban legends are the same all over the world...?

i remember growing up in canada, there's two that really stand out in my mind.

1) the smurfs walking out of the kh.

The best one I heard was 'from the platform'. The CO said he was in FS and met a preacher. The said "I know you have the truth but I can't admit it publicly because my flock would leave." The same CO is featured prominently in the Proclaimers Book. How coincidental.

How much increase could they absorb?

since most congregations have sufficient elders and ms, i was wondering what size increase in numbers in a small amount of time would cause them trouble?.

imagine if everybody that's df'd would all go back to the hall at the same time.

that would surely be a huge headache for them.

congregational cliques

it was my experience during my 13 yrs as a jw that congregations usually had a social clique.

in other words, there would be a group of people in a congregation that would only associate (and sometimes only go out on field service too) with people within that social clique.

if you were in the clique, fine.

Honesty

The ex made sure we were included with the more mature ones in the cong. It broke her hypocritical brown nosing ass when I refused to be involved with a group of pathetic losers who always gossiped about the less forunate ones (trans. - poor folks). However, i did manage to talk the talk and walk the walk another 3 or 4 years until I found out the troof about the troof and told the body (that's another fricking joke of a word) that they could all stay faithful to the borg but I was going to find the God of the bible not the paranoid, freaked out one of the WT. That effectively ended being included with the mature ones who never farted or smelled bad.

Special meeting March 7

my mother told me today that its going to be held a special meeting in all congregations worldwide at march 7.. .

some new information is going to be released, and its very very secret indeed.

we are not supposed to tell anyone what we heard at this meeting to the ones who have the meeting later the same week.

Too bad the dubs didn't know any Greek when they ~~distorted~~ translated the NWT Bible. If they had just an elementary grasp of the language they'd be frantic to get the Good News of the WT Paradise preached considering "how deep in the end of this system we now are."

When Jesus sent His followers to "make disciples of all nations," the word He used did not refer to the geo-political nations we know as countries on our maps. He used the phrase ta ethne, referring to ethnolinguistic people groups with their own combinations of languages and cultures.

Since almost 11,000 distinct people groups live in our world, each with its own mix of culture, language and ethnicity and the dubs report a little over 200 country groups being reached with their 'brand' of 'restored true worship' they had better be putting it in high gear if they want to catch up with the missionaries of Christendom who have been spreading the Good News of the Kingdom that Jesus came to the earth in the form of man to save the world for over two centuries.

Fainting Goats!

never heard of such a thing till now?

me either.. yip....these goats actually faint when startled and look like they have rigor- mortise when they fallm over.

after a few seconds....they get up all dazed lookin.
