Why do Jehovah's Witnesses teach that all other Christian denominations are part of satan's world (November 15, 2004 Watchtower magazine)?

well first i want to thank everyone here for the good points etc... i have received over the last few months.
you guys have really been helpful!.
so the other day my mother wrote me a 3 page letter telling me how she was so scared for me because she could tell my love for the truth was gone etc.. so i decided i wanted to totally rip the band-aid off and get this matter over and done with.
Lets not let this mess up our relationship...
You have a lot of courage.
About 10 years ago when I left the JW's, one of my nonJW friends told me
he had read that it is nearly impossible for anyone to get out of high control religious groups.
Hopefully, your dad willl sway your mom and convince her that it would be counterproductive to shun you
since he most likely won't and she'll look like a villain if she upholds Jerhover's the GB's standards.
following a comment by sapphy on another thread on cultural jws, it got me thinking about my circle of 30 something jw friends.. they fall into roughly two groups.
couples without kids, couples with kids.. the couples without kids are the most interesting.
they're mainly career types, but with one foot firmly in jw land.
You said that your friend is highly intelligent.
I hope you don't get mad, but he doesn't sound very bright to me.
In fact, I doubt that he has ever used critical thinking when it comes to his beliefs.
I feel sorry for him in a way, but part of me just says, "He deserves the cult."
Just my 2.
my never-a-jw dad told me today that mongrel jws who turn on me were never truly my friends and i'm better off without them, so why worry if i get disfellowshiped?.
i fear being disfellowshiped because my name will be dragged through the mud.
i also think it might be a good idea to da or get dfd because then the link is broken and the fade is over.
Ignore them, Julia.
Every damn one of them is a control freak and they want you to be their mental slave.
Don't play their DA game either.
I was DA'd (not DF'd) in absentia after I told them that the GB members are false prophets, I'm not
going back to the hall and don't bother calling me or stopping by to visit.
for those of you who are "out" forcibly ( disfellowshipped) or voluntarily ( dissasociated) is there anything.
that you actually miss about the witnesses or meetings?.
Yes.
Hearing all about how Jesus appointed the FDS in 1918/1919.
Of course, after the July 15 JW bible is studied even the JW's won't be hearing about 1918/1919 either.
curious.. if not would anyone like to help me pen a very 'assertive' letter ?.
just for the hell of it, see if we get a response ?.
It's more effective to call the Service Department, tell the brother your name and congregation number,
and ask him to give the GB a message:
Goobye, False Prophets!
i would love to be able to debate some of the issues on this site.. this is the first site i have debated on.. i would like to debate with credibility.. i think i debate on only what i feel secure about, and that is a good start.
.
but on this thread i would appreciate some tips on how to constrctively debate on a thread..
NH&H, what would you like to debate?
sorry to post so many topics lately.
trying to get some info for a project.. i'm after some quotes from watchtower that brag how the watchtower society answers any questions jw's have and how christondom don't (or it doesn't have to have the christendom part in it).
any help appreciated.
How about this?...

Search for the Truth Rewarded
FINDING little satisfaction as a lay preacher in the Presbyterian Church, a gentleman started looking for God’s true church. He drew up ten requirements that he felt the true church should have. He already had an accurate understanding of the unscripturalness of hellfire, immortality of the soul, and so forth. For 30 years he conducted this search. When contacted by one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he began firing his questions, such as: "Who is the little flock? Who are the 144,000 and the other sheep?" Getting satisfying answers, he agreed to a Bible study. After three months he said to the Witness: "Well, Brother, the true church of God is Jehovah’s Witnesses." He is now 71 years of age and happy that he has found the true church after a 30-year search!
did you get baptized without being dedicated?.
why did you allow men to come between you and jehovah?.
why were you serving jehovah at all?
"Did you get baptized without being dedicated?"
No.
"Why did you allow men to come between you and Jehovah?"
Because I believed the Watchtower's bullshit.
"Why were you serving Jehovah at all? Out of love, or for other reasons?"
I wasn't serving Jehovah, I just thought I was.
It took me 45 years to figure out the Watchtower's scam.
first of all thanks for all the kind words!!!
i am over whelmed by the responses.
i work very hard through the week and the only time i can reply is in the early morning hours, i read the respones on my iphone through out the day, if there was a way to log on with the phone, i would.
"I am not prepared for this".
I wasn't either and I quickly found out just how unprepared I was.
I tried to make it go away but it wouldn't so I did.
Have been out for about 10 years now.
One of the best decisions I ever made.
Welcome to the board JJ.
I hope you help loads of JW's find out TTATT.
