if money is tight, why don't they just cut back production?
Good idea Classisist - or better still, just cut out all the Scriptures irrelevant to the Society's teachings.

The same old lie.....do they really believe it?
by Gill inwhy am i surprised on reading the latest watchtower, the april 15 2005?
i had thought that the wtbts would at least be cautious in making its prophecies now.
surely after over 100 years of failed prophecy you might be a bit more careful, or would you?.

and where does 2034 come from? Not by any chance 1914 + man's life expectancy of 120 years? (I think I read that somewhere in Bible - correct me you learned ones!)

Lucid dreams and OBE
by IP_SEC incrumpet's post prompted me to go ahead and post something i've wanted to talk about for some time now.
has anyone here had lucid dreams or oobes?
i've started focusing on remembering my dreams and keeping a dream journal for about 6 months now and have had some groovy experinces.

We all dream about 4 times a night many don't remember their dreams, but if they remember one, it's always the last prior to waking. I have nearly always remembered all of my dreams from the previous night, and I never wake from a dreamless night. I often wonder what it's like to go to sleep and wake the following morning aware of nothing?!
I used to lucid dream more as a child, and still do infrequently as an adult. The last lucid dream I had was so amazing I remembered every detail as I knew I was in a 'real' place. When I DO lucid dream, they tend to come in ''batches'' - the last time I had 3 in the same week. Maybe there's a reason for this?
PS, my son lucid dreams too - he probably thinks EVERYONE does this - I used to till I recently found out they didn't!

Talked to a friend of mine...
by ithinkisee inover the last week i have been telling a longtime friend of mine from my hometown about what i found.
we were best friends all growing up and he had some real bad physical abuse probs in his house and so when he graduated he left the truth and has just recently started coming back.
he?s been studying off and on.

?So if the JWs don?t have the truth, then what is the answer??
This is also the response I have heard - JW belief (as far as I understand) is that God has ALWAYS had a ''people'' on Earth, and if it isn't JW now (who bear HIS name) then who is it ?

Name ways in which the Watchtower could make JW life more "appealing"?
by JH in.
jw meetings are so dull, and so alike, that one can only become bored in no time.
what changes would you have made in the meetings or after the meetings to make jw life more appealing and still christian?
