  A letter from Mr.Elder...

  okay, to give a bit of background....i have posted my da letter on this board awhile ago.

  of course, sent it to a elder.

  and i get a call weeks later telling me they were gonna announce my daing to the cong.

  None of that surprises me ... especially after he realizes you were looking at apostate sites.

  I am not criticizing, but there are ways to show the misquotes in the Creation book without sending people to apostate websites. If he was willing to take a look at the inaccuracies you probably could have showed the inaccuracies without sending him there. Once the word "apostate" comes into his mind ... all is lost.

  On the other hand, you may have done enough seedplanting that something could happen a few years down the road.

  So as i'm leaving the house this morning...

  ...two ladies park at the entrance of my driveway (thereby blocking my egress), get out of their mommi-van, and approach me smiling.. i don't know either of them.. the elder gal asks me if i'd be interested in learning what will happen 'in the end times'.. i am dressed for the courtroom, carrying a bunch of documents related to litigation against the watchtower in california and texas.

  when i turn to respond, several of my draft documents slide out of my daytimer and (spat!

  ) on the driveway.

  Public Speaking...

  i might need to talk tomorrow, i know it sounds silly but, for a good few years now, i've had major confidence issues when it comes to public speaking, anything else i'm fine with, and sometimes a bit of an extrovert, but put a microphone in front of me, and i'll stutter and fall apart before your eyes.

  well, a friend of mine was meant to give a pub quiz tomorrow, and i've reluctantly been pushed into doing it instead, it's not a big deal at all, it just means reading questions and answers into a microphone, but i know i'm going to balls it up.

  have any of you got any tips for getting over this stupid phobia i seem to have developed?

  I know this is an old thread but I just found it.

  With two daughters (7 and 4) that we are going to now raise as non-JWs (even though we are going through the motions right now), this was really great.

  any coffee addicts here?

  i been drinking alot of coffee these days.

  i start off my day with four shots of espresso, than a few hours later i'll make a pitcher of frozen latte's and i usually will burn thru a pot if im out working on the ocean.

  i even got to the point where i grind all my coffee myself...

  Tips For Folks Who Can't Completely Fade From The "Truth"

  not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to fade away from the "truth".

  lots of people.

  are stuck, for various reasons, with the continuing pretense of still "being in the truth".. there are, however, ways to make this annoyance more bearable.

  i am posting this for the consideration of those who "assume" and "rumor" that charles taze russell and j.f.

  rutherford were no longer friends in 1916. .

  this article by judge j. f. rutherford was published in the december 1, 1916 issue of the watch towe magazine.
