The sermon on the mount was just his attempt to get his pioneer hours in before the end of the month!
He wasnt an approved associate though, as he was never asked to do the microphone duty in synagogue!
He was slightly more approved when he turned water into wine though, typical double standards on the part of the congregation!
Feeding the five thousand was frowned upon by the elders because it was an act of charity and he shouldve known that the correct approach was to contribute to the worldwide work instead!
He couldve gone to University but he was forced to do a Carpentry course instead!

Paternity Question

one of my clients who also happens to be close friend went mia for most of last week.

i called him a few times with out a response from him, so i assumed he was sick and would get back to me when he felt better.. i spoke with him this morning and he was very depressed, apparently his wife of 9 years admitted to him last week that their 6 year old son may not be his.. apparently she had an affair with a man about 7 years ago for 2 months.

he was traveling to the west coast every other week for business at the time, but he never had a clue.. he is upset and fuming mad.

If the court is left to decide paternity normally they will only make an order for testing if it is in the best interests of the child.

In my non legal view, it takes more than blood to make a father and he should be commended for all he has done and will continue to do; however the child does have a right to know who his biological father is even if they (husband and wife) stay together.

Personally she would be out on her ear!

ok, for those of us non-, and never before-jw's, will someone please explain what the big deal is about having responsibility for microphones is all about?

we do use microphones in our church, but ....i mean whoever is in charge of any technology that day sets up microphones.

it could be anyone in the church, male or female, young or old, the pastor, the janitor.

i grew up in an emotionally constipated family.

my parents didn't hug us or tell us they loved us.

they were slightly affectionate with each other, but i don't think i ever heard them express their love for each other, in front of us kids.

During my younger years I remember there being some affection but it was often tainted with anger, resentment and sometimes violence.

When I grew into my teens affection was none existent and I was never told that I was loved by any of my parents. I cant say as I was bothered to be honest. Too busy dreaming up ways to escape. Its funny that now I am in my 30s I am only just realising what it is to 'feel'.

you can find out anything you want to, and infact, you have to use the internet every day just to shop and bank and a lot of the things you need to do.

If I imagine for a moment that I am not a raving mad apostate son of satan and put myself in this scenario, I have to admit the same old fears would creep back - what if they (WTBTS) are right? what if, what if, what if? What would I do with this remaining part of my life? What can I do? What is left to do given my health? How can I claw back the remaining part of my life? Is it worth it?
