What made your whole congregation laugh during a meeting?????????

a sister was visiting our hall from another congregation and was sitting in the back of the hall.
she raised her hand to answer a question, but only had one finger in the air.

Are There Current JWs Who If They Became XJW's, You Still Wouldn't Trust?

i was noticing, how the great majority who are fading, or are df or da, and post here, seem to go through a sincere personality change for the better.. it is of course a very humbling experience to find out how wrong and judgemental we were.. but is there a witness or two, who even if they posted here, you wouldn't trust them or like them.?

I don't think anyone trusts or likes someone just because they are Ex JW's. I think it depends on the individual and how you get to know them etc...
Definately agree with this...take people as you find them is the rule I adopt.

While im on this subject another well remembered occasion worth a giggle was not during the meeting but in the interval. I was friends with sister in the hall and her family were great, in particular her little brother kind of attached himself to me and the other friends in the hall and would take regular pot shots at beating me up...(he was 7 and I was 13....i think it was a sign of affection anyway).
Well they had been on holiday and I hadnt seen em for a week or so....but Jo seeing that id got to the meeting ran upto me from the other end of the hall, shouting....GARY.....IVE BEEN ON HOLIDAY AND CAUGHT CRABS....how i didnt wet myself i dont know...but even now hes much older and well out of the JW's I still remind him....although not too often because hes bigger than me now...

At the book study group we had some characters who were always good for a laugh, the study reader for the week was reading from the creation book and instead of saying organism said orgasm...TWICE!!! it was too much for me and nearly split my sides laughing....what made me laugh even more was that there was an older woman (who used to smell) and she couldnt stop chuckling even when everyone else had finished, that just made me worse....the old dear was obviously still getting some...lmao.

2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!
by Englishman insaturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.
location is our home in weston super mare.
as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.

here in the uk, it's an unavoidable fact that the majority of people are out at work, shopping etc.
if you really wanted to speak to people, and felt an urgent duty because the 'end is near' why aren't the jws in the shopping centres, streets, and generally where the people are?.

by diamondblue1974 ini was reading the thread about the prospect of the wts releasing some new light shite about a prophecy to fulfil the fact that they are not growing and it brought back a really horrid memory, unintentional i know but horrid nonetheless.. the co visited the congregation were i was from and after the obligatory song and prayer, it was announced that the co needed to speak to us urgently on a local needs issue.
he came onto the platform his look was sombre and melancholy (nothing new there then).
he said he had an announcement from the governing body and that their had been a law passed that day which banned jw's in the uk that the usa and other world governments had notified the wts that they were to follow suit shortly.

The fact that the majority of the people in that hall felt dread and fear was because they had given the WTS full control of their mind which allowed such a ridiculas statement to even find a moment's consideration.
