I think it lack of customisation will be its downfall. NWN II will be script compatible with NWN and for the RP side of things it's set in the D&D realm of Faerun that has a well know history.

I've been deeply into Never Winter Nights for the past 2 years and have part built and DM a role play server with a load of Canadians. I like the look of WoW and the factions are well set up. Big down side so I've heard is the lack of community support, can you build your own mods and host them yourself? I may buy it one day but for now I'll wait for NWN2 or Dragon Age

Nope it's creation or nothing. Any evidence to the contrary is ether explained away using there own unique brand of scientific reasoning or put down to the devils work in trying to mislead.

Fantastic sayings
by PaulJ ini just thought id create a thread for all the great saying and phrases you have heard.
my favourite is "bingo wings"- a name given to the chunky flesh that seems to be trying to escape the arms of (usually) older women.
best viewed at bingo, when they throw their arms in the air and should 'house'.. any more for any more?

Should I push him over the edge?
by DannyBloem ini had a long talk with an elder i know very well this morning.
we had a talk about the religion changes, like the 1975 thing etc.
he agrees to me that the gb are not let only by holy spirit, maybe only that has a use for this organisation.

Living a lie at 72 is the same as living a lie at 17. In the end it's up to him, short of kicking away his zimmer frame so he can't get to meetings or on FS you're not going to get him to do anything that's not his own decision anyway. It seems he's clued up anyway and has made his choice. Does he know of your own beliefs? It may be he's apostate already and just doing the best he can.

Wife's weight problem
by dangel ini amlooking for advice.
before getting married, my wife was slim and took care of herself.
after the wedding however, she started to eat much more and not exercise.

Dangel, now you've put us in the picture regarding how long you've been marred etc, I retract some of my earlier comments. I'd say from the way she's wearing clothes that are too small for her in the after picture that your wife isn't happy with her weight but hasn't accepted that she needs to deal with it. If I were you, deal with your own extra weight first, go out exercising, separate diet from your wife, she may well follow.

Any Lefties?
by Why Georgia inmy oldest son is left handed.
everytime he does anything different from the rest of us.....my husband relates this to being left handed.. he is very artistic, detailed, and extremely particular about how he wants things in his little world to be.. this may be because he's 5 - who knows.. are there any traits of left handed people that you lefties may want to share so i can be prepared in the future?.
thanks in advance,.

Cack-handed like the rest of them. Another thing regards the left handedness is spatial mapping in our brains. The number of lefties that are good at higher maths is above the proportion average. Don’t let a right handed person teach them to write unless they are specially trained. I found it hell learning to write, like Buster said we push not drag and all letter are, especially joined up writing, for a dragged style. If you can’t get help don’t make an issue of it, he’ll find his way.

Perhaps All Roads do Lead to Rome
by LouBelle ini enjoy discussing god with people from all walks of life & all beliefs.
this is just something that has been skipping about in my brain...is it possible that god appeared to different cultures as different gods????
to the jews of the ancient days he appeared as yahweh, to the buddhist as budda, to the christians as jesus, to the moselim as allah etc etc.. i know the witnesses taught that everyone doesn't worship the true god & not all religions lead to god.

I thought like this when I left but it's very patchy thinking, why would he/she/it bother? Make a world, segregate people, confuse everyone with different ideas and then leave them to set about each other. The reason for all the different religions is that there's no “true” one that can't be slated by science or plan common sense. It would be nice to think that there's someone looking after us and will make it all better when we die, or that life has some greater reason but all the given solutions and made up mumbo jumbo to account for these desirers. Many will disagree with me quite vigorously but that just shows me how shaky their belief is.
