  for those of you that know my background, you know that my only sibling, a sister (nonjw) disowned me back in the '70s along with my parents when i became a jw.

  when i daed myself in '99, i wrote them and apologized for making a terrible mistake, etc and heard nothing.

  i just got an email from my sister asking for my address because she wants to write to me, and she signed it "love, your little sis"..

  I'm only a newbee myself but I think the fluff threads are as important in the ?what was the meaning of scripture whatever in the book of oh so boring and what is the JW take on it? threads. I went through the first 16 years of my life as a dub just to get the in jokes on JWD. Exposing the org for what it is, is important but so is a bit of comic relief. This is the only place apart from my immediate family I feel I can relax an be myself. If we want to bring down the org I've got a copy of the anarchists handbook and half a ton of fertiliser in the shed. Any takers? Next thing we'll be having to wear a tie and have a quick pray for holy spirit before we can post (tea towels on ladies).

  i was out to lunch with my wife today and she was telling me how our child did not want to go to school that day because they were doing a bunch of st patricks day stuff.

  our child really can't stand being different and left out.

  i feel so bad for my child.

  Can you tell me when the piñata article came out?

  At a family get together a year or two ago we had one. Might try and get them into dialogue by asking if we'll have one this year.

  i think i've finally left the jw's.

  i have not been an active member since 2000, but always thought i would go back.

  the problem (or solution) has been that i started to reason on how the true god or super being really viewed mankind.

  hi im new to the world....been lurking for a while but cant keep quiet any more...so much to say so much time...as an intro can i ask if anyone else begged grovelled pleaded lost their dignity in order to get reinstated only to find that it was worse than being d/fd cos at least when you were d/fd you knew why all your friends treated you like crap

  Yes Marmite is similar to vegemite but has a more runny texture and is a bit saltier.
