  hi, i'm not new here, been lurking forever, just a new poster.

  i was a jw for 25 years, did it all,been out now for 7 years, for the most part have healed pretty good.....but some things can't seem to shake.

  the thing i'm most regretful of is raising my children in that cult, if i could just re-do that, i think i could be totally over the trauma of the 25 years i was in.

  a group of business people put their money together and start a casket design business.

  they come up with a business scheme that they think will yield the greatest revenue.

  Well, it's a tough question. One part of me says it's a genious plan, my other half tells me it's just wrong to do that to a person that's going through an emotional time. But that's what they get for being emotionally weak!

  It's crazy to see it happen, but not so crazy. Have you ever seen a small stream of water run in the dirt. How it picks up anything in its path: Dirt, leaves, and other small debris. This is what that is except thousands of times more.

  My heart goes out to those that experience natural disasters.

  we also just back from our circuit assembly.. co told us that we have 1700 pubs in the circuit and approx 50% are involved this month in pioneer work.

  the do said that this is worldwide the greatest shout of praise to jehovah since the angels shouted in applause at jehovah's creative works and that it is the greatest witness the world has ever seen.. you gotta love the governing body for coming up with this arrangement.

  and you gotta love the worldwide brotherhood for responding so positively.

  but if man has no immaterial aspect to his being, whether you call it a soul or mind or whatever, then were not qualitatively di?erent from other animal species.

  i've just posted the following in another thread whose subject is supernatural experience, but it may deserve its own thread so i'll repost it here.

  i don't believe in the supernatural but i do believe that people experience unexplained things.

  where i differ from some people is that i perceive the unexplained things exist only in their brains and not in the physical world around them.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
