regret my "former" life as a Witness

disassociating yourself slowly or quickly is a matter of perspective; think about it: you lose either way, i.e.

the witnesses will treat you like you've become part of the "bodysnatchers" of the world and no matter how you rationalize it, there is no honorable way out in the eyes of the witnesses.. i was df'd about 1.5 years ago (as they said that i left the organization so it was entirely my fault, but little do they know that their organization left me, as i appealed the gb's decision), and the sudden break-off of family and friends in the truth is always devastating to say the least - it's an emotional explosion which in your wildest dreams would normally never ever happen....i can now understand what death means, at least in the beginning....yes i was dead though living - even though when i went back to the meetings afterwards, i could feel the lonely emptiness, the non-existence of myself.

yet when by accident i would be gazing straight into the eyes of one of my (former) friends, he would just stare past me as if i didn't exist at all even though i attempted to smile at him in indicating respect to him....how convenient for them to ignore a fellow friend and instead make me feel like the lowest person on earth - but then..of course they were taught to respond in this manner to anyone who is df'd.... then i though to myself...what would happen when eventually i would be re-instated: yes, then after the announcement most would want to see me at the end of the meeting all happy and oh so loving and wanting to be my best friend all over again - in a heartbeat they'll change from zombies to angelic like mortal creatures of love.... for this very reason i cannot return to the meetings in the hope of wanting to be re-instated and have this hypocrisy again heaped upon me like tentacles.

Yes being disfellowshipped from the borg can be a very trying thing, but all of those supposed friends aren't really friends at all, you aren't a friend if friendship is based on religious membership. I recalled two things when reading these posts.

One years ago prior to becoming a member, I would talk with those in the congregation who were disfellowshipped, it would piss off the elders and some Mss, but I didn't care, the elders even had the audacity to talk with one particular disfellowshipped who was attending meetings trying to get reinstated and told him that he couldn't talk with me. I went to this particular elder and told him to mind his business and if he didn't I would be glad to mind his for him, and I and this particular person would still talk albeit outside away from them in the parking lot where I would be having my morning cigarette (that use to really piss em off me smoking in the parking lot). His supposed family and friends hadn't talked with him for almost a year and he was really glad I took the time to talk with him, and didn't treat him like others do, In fact all through my tenure in the borg I would talk with Disfellowshipped ones but due to my confrontational nature, Elders would seldom say anything to me about it. If they did i would act like the governing body (stupid) and they would leave it alone.

Second point when I wasn't attending meeting very often I started to get stared out by some in the congregation who had previously been very friendly, I would catch them with the look of loathing on thier face and these ones could count on me coming up after the meeting and asking what their problem is. That caused them no small amount of anxiety> I would get answers like well you haven't been attending meetings, we haven't seen you out in field service blah blah blah, Well i went out in field service a lot just not with them, I enjoyed talking with people, I however went to the country areas. And I wouldn't turn in my time, that irritated them no end too. Well enough of that. my 2 for now.

I believe a certain brother from the spring valley area of San Diego, he always seemed to me to be of that type. Quick to jump on perceived wrong doers, always wanted his way in field service, didn't like to be opposed, would stab you in the back in a heart beat. I could name a few more. This particular piece was something that should have been kept on a chain. I believe he would relish the inquisition of anyone he thought to be a wrong doer in the org since of the word of course. He and a few others were quick to seize power when the PO was down and out in the Hospital, they had him removed as PO some other lacky installed all this in a spirit of brotherly love of course (jeesh). Farkel, hi hello again, Oh to you post on wheter or not a jdub can be a policeman, I know of two personally who are/were. One was but isn't and one is and still is. Works in San Diego he does. The other was a cop in NYC and visited Bethel the house of evil many times. If I had you email address, I would write and give specifics. regards buff.

It should come as no surprise that the borg would support one of their own, if a lawyer/liar from the society is coming its just to make sure that the borg comes out smelling like a rose in this one.

Silentlambs and Signifiers that Signify Nothing

call me a neopositivist, a semi-verificationist or semi-falsificationist, but the claims made by "silentlambs" reminds me of the shakespearean line that was quoted in the creator book published by the wtbts.

that is, the contentions of silentlambs seem like much "sound and fury" that in truth signify nothing.

i am of course referring to the supposed dateline show and the claims made about some members of the gb of jehovah's witnesses.

Dunsscot just where in the ORG do you work. I truly believe that someone who can stand on a soapbox and justify the borg are truly evil people or at best some of the most gullible people there are.

You sound just like the elders, it takes two to tango so to speak, and when children are abused the abuser doesn't go and get witnesses to the fact. So just how do you verify the fact? Like the elder body you just let the abuser keep on abusing and then let the abused be abused or suffer the consequences of actions of the elder body, People like you truly make me sick.

we have a son of legal age,only mentally 5-8 years living with jw relatives.

he studies with the presiding overseer in the knowledge book and goes in service.

he wants to get baptized like his older brother.

Should mentally challenged by baptized? That is a question that should be answered by Fred Hall, Yadirf, You know, God Rules, and a few others as they seem to be mentally challenged by facts about thier apostate religion. Sorry if this hurts anyone don't intend it to mentally challenged should not be baptized due to fact of having to put up with all the horse manure from the Kingdom hall, the brotherless and sisterless and the true lack of love evident at any and all meetings. Let someone other than Elder or ms, Pioneer etc need something and they will wilt on the ole vine so to speak, dont let this happen to the mentally challenged. Let it happen to you know, friday, fred and others of that sort. Buff

Wondering whether or not to join the Air Force

i'm new here and i have some questions about joining the air force or not.

i'm 21 years old, i was raised as a jehovah's witness but stopped going when i was 13 because i was a kid and thought it was boring (like school).

even after i quit going i still done things that were right or i tried to still live by what i was taught and i'm greatful that i was raised that way because it kept me out of a lot of trouble and made me who i am today.

Hi read your post. By all means Join the Air Force, do something special for your country, it may raise the esteem of you parents they will none the less have more respect for you. As for it being the last days, well in effect, the last days of your youth are passing you by, jump on the train (the Air Force) Go see some of the world and you will enjoy it, don't be brought back into the clutches of the borg, they don't care about you, want you to work for free and they could care less about you or your family. You say you don't like to conform, so why go back to the cult, the borg, the untruth?

I spent 24 years serving my country in the military. From the Jungles and mountains of Vietnam to the Florida coast through duty in over 24 countries I have traveled and nothing brings out the hairs on my arms as the Star Spangled Banner I love that song. But more than anything I love being free, I now have my own thoughts, I can come to my own conclusions, I can make my own mistakes and not have to fear or deal withOUT ASSHOLES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING COMMONLY CALLED ELDERS trying to rule my life and live of my family.

Yes yeah though we walked through the valley of death (the borg)we are now a free people for we no longer are afraid of you surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. Enjoy it, feel it, breathe it, isn't it great. Oh say can you see the light gleaming, gleaming that is without the clouds of the borg masquerading as true light. Just my $.02 on the eve of another glorious Independence day, I get to celebrate two of them a year. regards Buff.
