  Slander in the congregation.

  kaethra's comment on a sister's paranoia about slander behind her back got me thinking of my mums own suspicions.

  she married my dad when he was an unbaptized person and this was frowned upon.

  she'd been previously married and had to divorce cause he had another wife in another country.

  This post remnds of how some I knew about were treated even tho they had returned to the fold so to speak and had been reinstated. One brother in particular who had been reinstated years before I got to that particular congregation, still had no priviledges, now some 13 years of knowing him, he still has no real priviledges in the congregation. Its like they have elephantitis, they never forget, unless of course you are a child of one of the powerful elders and then things are quickly forgiven and you are reinstted in record speed.

  I know of several of these incidences, one elders step daughter was reinstated 6 months after getting divorced from her hubby, she remarried her boyfriend, he ex remarried another elders daughter.

  my my real fair play huh? Peyton place there in good ole sin diego.

  With a "suggestion" of a contribution, In other words, we except the faith to contribute this amount. How come its okay to celebrate his 50-th anniversay there at bethel, and yet wrong for me or anyone else to celebrate the birth of a child. One of those things that make you go HUmmmmmmmmm.

  Is this world ruled by Demons and are we?

  to me, one of the most pathetic and lamest of all watchtower teachings is the fantasy that satan and the demons rule the world.

  the witnesses are terrified of these demons getting into their minds through everything from wearing old clothes bought at the thrift store to smoking cigarettes (remember all drugs give demons easy access to your mind.).

  they would have you believe that each country on earth is controlled by really big mean and tough demons (hey demons cant be nice you know) and they are actively controlling the minds of the political leaders in a global chess game because they have nothing better to do.. i was wondering then if anyone can show me a single itsy bitsy tiny amount of evidence to show any credible physical evidence or logical/metaphysical reasoning to back the jw ideological boogey men.

  happyman you really must be a zombie. you certainly speak like one. you are in a religion where the idea of free thought or expression is non existant. You as an individual cannot voice your opinion. You can only voice what the society deems to be correct. Get with it and get a life for once.   but when i think about how they have to live thier life now, the watchtower retirement for loyal dubs, is welfare, and social security.

  it makes me sick they have no children and no means to really get along they are dependent of the government they hope to see exterminated at armageddon.

It makes me sick they have no children and no means to really get along they are dependent of the government they hope to see exterminated at Armageddon. The Congregation and Watchtower society that needed them so badly could really care less how they get along and if they have nothing. But miss a couple of meetings and boy they care then don't they. What a bunch of bastards. All these people have is a bunch of unfulfilled dreams and empty promises. A life spent and nothing to show for it.

  I know a brother who is helping with the track team at a high school in the San Diego area. A helper or rather aide to a coach is technically an assistant coach is he not? He also played high school sports while a student there. His Dad an elder, guess that must make it okay. Where these people get thier ideas is a mystery. Maybe JFR didn't couldn't play sports so it was denied to the rank and file. Who knows. Seems the have can and the have nots cant.

  let me try to be the first to congratulate steve bradbury for skating a brilliant race and winning australia's first winter olympic gold medal!

  which is surprising because the population of australia probably wouldn't know what snow was if it slapped them up the side of the head.

  did jesus really exist??

  i wonder if jesus did exist?i just wanted to know if having faith that he did is enough,i mean i like to have you know concrete proof about things and there isnt much proof he existed except that in the bible,maybe he was just another wannabe prophet,just think what people believe in today like faith healers they supposedly have healing powers,believers claim to be healed then later resume back to there normal condition etc etc.

  is it all in there mind and they want it to be real they believe it so much that they think there cured even though there not you see wat im getting at people might of thought about jesus the same way like maybe looking for a hope in this healer or prophet and then claiming to be better because they were maybe over emotional about jesus.
