  i am going to be under the knife so to speak, will be having gastric bypass surgery and wonder if any of you out there have had it and if you have any suggestions for me????

  Did anyone ever have any`divine revelation' in your congregation?

  i understand from one post some time back that someone begin to say that next week would be end of the world in a more or less private study.. possibly carted off to a mental hospital.. was they anyone in your congregation that had similiar `revelation'?

  Elsewhere, that said it all, and unlike Jesus' baptism, all who heard it could understand it, the smell was just more

  spiritual annointment.

  I remember this guy years back 1992 I think, was telling my wife and some other sisters that this system was going to go south, he just didn't believe it would last 2 more years and thats it folks.

  Brown beans have brought out more revelations than any other vegetable. veggies reveal it all.

  Since JWs Never Helped Anyone But Themselves, What Do You Do 4 People?

  we, as witnesses were taught to believe that our giving the "truth" to people was the most important gift we could give!

  forget about giving money to charities or helping any other group out----we needed to give them the "real life".

  do you find yourself giving back to the community or to others now that you're out?

  I have found that we as a family give more now than ever since I haven't been attending meetings for some years now.

  Pay the rent for a family (mother w/4 children no husband abandoned them) we have paid for over a year now.

  Built a house for 9 members of a family to live in, prior to that they were living in a shack not big enough for three people.

  Have helped the homeless, poor when able to.

  We found ourselves helping much much more than ever when I was a witness, now we really do show love for people instead of looking at them as receipents of the latest WT and Awake mags.

  Helping you fellow man was never a part of any congregation that I and family ever attended.

  Was in NOrth County of San Diego when it happened didn't hardly feel a thing. reported lated as 5.2 and a secondary at 3.6 then on news as probably from the San Clemente fault (nixon?) too bad it couldnt have happened during their district convention this past weekend would have really given them somethng to talk about.

  i got a little tired of it when someone called me and said that.

  this was the first sign of the control thing.

  i had been injured and for quite awhile couldn't do much of anything. I would hear that nonsense about missing you, so to shut them up I would tell them I didnt realize they had been throwing things at me and i'm glad you missed me. They would get this deer in the headlights look about them and mostly never responded back. I really got tired of it and after one meeting this old geeser comes up and says he missed me and that i should be at the meeting even though i didn't feel good, i could not feel good right here at the meeting and not miss them. I responded with I didn't miss you, and no at home i can put my feet up, not wear a tie, have a cup of coffee and if i heard something on the radio or tv that bored me i could turn it off and also that i didn't have to talk with any fake people. He wondered away mumbling to himself and has never spoken to me when he sees me somewhere ever again. Thank God for that.

  My wife gets pi**ed about my tactics but oh well! I personally am tired of seeing these people and am so happy that i have faded, they no longer even mention me to my wife.

  it seems millenia ago that homosexuals dared not declare that fact about them out loud for fear of being imprisoned, beaten to death or at least ostracized by society.

  true, some are still ostracized, some are still beaten but more and more they are simply becoming a part of the social fabric of families, communities and society as a whole.. was it just 1969 that a handful of drag queens decided enough was enough and refused to meekly be led off to jail for the night simply for socializing with each other in a bar in new york city.

  i was 11 years old when that happened and was just beginning to understand that i myself was a homosexual.

  Mom Says She Probably Won't Go To Daughter's Wedding If Off Pioneer List

  my mother told me the other day that if push came to shove, she probably wouldn't go to my daughter's wedding if she knew she would be removed as a regular pioneer.

  she said that pioneering was something she chose to do over the last 40 plus years.

  if my daughter chose to marry an "unbeliever", then that was her decision.......obviously, some things are more important.

  I feel sorry that your mom won't go if it means she can't grovel at the feet of her god (pioneering status), I wouldn't let her see pictures, a video or anything about the wedding, If she won't go dont let her live it through pictures, or videos. She makes the choice she lives with the decision. Cut her off, she is cutting your daughter off so cut her off.

  Elder Gives Talk About "Unbelievers" & "Unbeliever" Calls Him An "Asshole"

  the husband of a sister attended the public talk and the visiting elder came down hard on "unbelievers" and "worldly" people.

  he spoke about how miserable it is for faithful sisters to be married to such "worldly unbelievers" because they cannot share the same spiritual goals.

  this man recently had started to attend some meetings because his wife pretty much begged him to.

  My daughter and her husband were at the kh and hearing the term wordly, he asked what is that, they dont seem to give

  it a good conotation (spelling). I told him before my wife tried to smooth it over that it was a term they used for anyone not in the cult. So he says I dying to them then, yes i replied he and my daughter have never returned there, they don't realize or dont care just how their words affert people. MOst of them are cowards at heart when you take things to them personally then they have knees that turn to jelly. I dont mind a good physical fight and i have let them know about it, and that, a fight is what they will be facing if they try and mess with me, i will get physical, no problem. They dont like to debate as i use a lot of thier own pubs against them I never say anything untoward but have told them specifically a couple of elders that I dnt like them trying to pry into my persnal business. I have been gone so long now that they look away when i run into them out in public. Assholes, rectum circles, jdubs, they are all the same.

  Ohiocowboy sorry for the last response but as i was writing the post last night myson and grandkids came in and wanted to be with grandpa, so here I am at 5:00 am in the morning. My favorite food in loompia, especially the waymy wife makes it.its very good and as Maverick was mentioning even at other events its one of the first things to go. She left some here, but I told her i ain't eating it, because she wouldnt have made it for me if i had asked because it is so time consuming for her. but let them ask and there she goes. son and grandkids took care of the few pieces she left here, she thought that i wouldnt get mad if she left me some, well she is wrong, im am still pissed about it this morning.
