as i have posted about getting colon ca and having surgery and now going through chemo, the stress on me for keeping up my responsibilities at work and keeping up a home.
here is an update.
i am doing ok and jake is finally doing housework as i just don't have the energy to do it.

That's Great that you got good news. I had friend who went through same thing and she is doing great 6 years later. You have the power of your true friends, which I can see includes this board. Each day is another day closer to feeling better, but it truly is one day at a time.

so... i finally have thought about somethings that i want to say in my letter to disassociate... in my last topic starter regarding this, someone had meantioned disfellowship papers?
why would they be sending disfellowshipment papers if i take myself out?.
in the letter, i am thinking about making the one to my friends kinda short and sweet and to the point.

You are so right not to play by their man made rules, plus for those still trapped inside at least they will be able to reason to themselves that you are just inactive. I guess you could say that we are doing them a gesture of love by leaving a loophole to use.

so...everything had been fine for a while.
i wrote my da letter, very clear and also very surprinsingly "apostate" according to the elders.
so at first, dad does what he's told is right and starts the shunning.
But, if she were to leave and start dogging God and the way He is worshipped by us and speak negatively about Him to others and how we are a cult and the whole nine yards, then I would probably curb my associaiton with her.
Why would you add "start dogging God and speak negatively about Him to others"... Why do you have to add "God" when in fact are you not really saying the "Organization".
When I said that I was not attending meetings and was asked why, I gave my reasons only to have the Sister declare that I had left God and that No One (meaning me) would ever break her relationship with God. Yet I said nothing of the sort and reminded her that I most certainly had not left God, infact I felt closer to him and studied more than ever, plus why would she even think I would want her to not have a realationship with God.
The "Society" aka GOD (if JW) has so brainwashed people that they can not even have a personal realtionship with their creator without it being through a big building in Brooklyn.
I suggest that you put your thoughts to the test, as suggested by another post, and ask an elders if this is the agape way and just see if they agree with you, would be a real test of that unity they claim to have as the only ones that worship exactly alike and with the mark of love. Try practicing true agape and see what happens.

I am sure many remember a particular brother or sister who you observed out in service, but when it came to the assembly or their need to share the experience during meetings, they told "their experience" much differently from what had actually happened.
I remember one pioneer sister who was famous for this and I am sure she is still in their midst doing it today. But everyone clapped and some smiled (some looked at eachother), but nothing was ever said to her about her stories. I know that there were elders who raised their eyebrows but as long as they counted her as a pioneer she was given free reign to buildup the congregation, whether they wanted it or not. I did once question her story, since I had been there during one of her experiences, she just ignored me as if I had not questioned her and walked away, sharing her love (and products) with the congregation.

i had a lesion removed from my right cheek, just below the eye and to the right of my nose a week ago yesterday.
doc did it in the office and indicated he did not think it was malignant - but sop requires a path test to confirm.
it was malignant i was told today.

Third & most important - Think Positive and keep the energy flowing. I know what you are feeling, almost same situation with me, doctor saying it was just fleshy growth, no problems, then it turned black and was malignant. However, it was the most common kind of skin cancer and removed, now I have yearly check ups.

well, it's not big news, but there will be a new revelation book coming out.
it is already published and sitting in the wallkill warehouses.
makes me think why they are giving out dozens of corrections first, and shipping the new book later?
If the September KM is stating that the reason for the downsizing at Bethel is due to technology being better than people then why is this technology not being used to print new Revelation Books? Has anyone be able to scan the September KM Yet?

my mom called last night to tell me he passed on sunday.
he died peacefully and fairly painlessly.
my mom said she was talking with him, went to answer the phone, and 5 minutes later he was gone.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. You are so right that he is the one that now knows what awaits us after death. Sorry for the loss of your family to the "Organization" don't give up hope they may well one day see the real Light. Especially with your Mom, she may open up to you in time even if she officially does not declare it. Sounds like you are truly being a loving daughter regardless of how you have been treated and she knows that.

hi everyone i was just wondering if those of you that have left the org for whatever reason, have found your'e much happier than when you were in it?probably a daft question but i tried to talk to a friend about how i was feeling about a few things and why i don't go to meetings and she said would i really be any happier out than in?it just got me thinking about why i joined in the first place, because i was lonely and down, although i still am several years later it seems!have you found life better on the outside?did you feel a sense of freedom or was it really hard to adjust?when i try to explain what i find hard in the religion they can always say something back that then makes me think i was wrong in the first place and it is the truth after all - aagh!
Yes, I have a great love for all mankind and peace of mind. Absolute and Pivotal point of happiness when I let go of the truth.
I have a more spirituality and feeling of peace than I did in all of the 26 years in the truth.

lying about his age was an attempt to recapture his lost youth.
Wonder if anyone could find out if the Mother is a JW now or in the past and if any congregations that they both attended had any problems with his actions.
Would hope that the Denver police would expand their search for past violations of congregation children in their previous kingdom halls, just by sending a letter to each congregation (they attended) to see if there were any complaints brought to the elders.
