by AK - Jeff inpicture five or six apostates filtering into a kingdom hall where none are known.
they do not visit with each other, but just mingle in the crowd.
when the time comes to sit down and listen to the sales pitch, they all sit in seperate areas of the kh.

Thereofre, it would be unloving to impose our views on a fellow believer or pressure him to ignore the dictates of his conscience.
True, it would be unloving. It is also STANDARD PROCEDURE among WTS adherents...

We are not affiliated with any of the various Bible Student fellowships, although it should be made clear that we do not view them as the "Evil Slave". We have no dogmatic creed, feeling that such has a tendency to divide the Body of Christ. We are simply a non-denominational Christian fellowship, largely composed of former JW's. We do have some contact with similar groups outside of Central Wisconsin. Some of our group occasionally attend services with other Christian congregations (though not as members), most do not. We baptise (bzw. re-baptise) by immersion. One is to approve oneself before taking Communion (1 Cor. 11: 27,28); the conditions laid before those in attendance who wish to take Communion is: 1) Faith in the sacrifice of our Lord Christ Jesus as means of reconciliation with our heavenly Father, and 2) Full consecration to the Lord and his service, even unto death. Below is the outline for the Spring Communion Service, which requires about 30 minutes (scriptures in parentheses are alluded to, other scriptures quoted):

Our local group of X-JW's met on Wednesday, 12. April to observe (i.e. celebrate) the Lord's Evening Meal.
Unlike 2005, this year we met in two groups. No individual attended both groups. The combined attendance shows an increase of nearly 150% compared to 2005. Last year roughly one-third of the baptised attendees partook; this year about 75% partook. (A number of the local group who felt a need for re-baptism in 2005/6 have since been re-baptised.)
We hope to find a larger facility to enable us to meet as one Ecclesia, although we are not anticipating another very large increase for 2007. The local JW congregations have already lost a significant number of their affiliates, thereby reducing the potential for increase in our Ecclesia. Also, our numbers include a few Brothers who are still viewed as JW's by the local congregations; indeed, we met later than the JW's, thereby enabling attendance at both Memorials for any who wished to do so. (We did the same in 2005.)

May 15 WT - Survival depends on loyal association with the organization
by truthseeker inwith the recent wt articles stressing how "new light" has appeared over the decades, this article is geared towards making sure individuals are active within the organization in order to ensure their survival.. this article is taken from e-watchman's discussion board, this is not my article.. .
http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1019&st=0.
just got a hold of the new may 15, 2006 watchtower containing the study article, "are you prepared for survival?

I've not read the WT article in its entirety. However, it seems disturbingly like Rutherford's vitriolic diatribes. ()

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 4-9-06 WT Study (Recreation)
by blondie in(a) why is it difficult to find acceptable recreation?
q 6, 7. what can help you decide what is acceptable or unacceptable.
9 at times, christians ask: "what is acceptable recreation?
-

6 How can we be sure that a certain form of recreation is acceptable for a Christian? Parents provide guidance for their children, and elders help as needed.
It would appear that the Pharisaical WTS could not bring themselves to simply write: Be certain to run to the
RabbiElders for a binding answer.Really, though, it should not be necessary for others to tell us that a particular book, movie, game, dance, or song is unacceptable. Paul said that "mature people ... through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong." (Hebrews 5:14; 1 Corinthians 14:20) The Bible sets forth guiding principles. Your conscience, trained by God's Word, will help you it you listen to it.-1 Timothy 1:19.
How very true. Nevertheless, despite the counsel at Ephesians 4:11-15, the Society attempts to keep its adherents forever as "spiritual Babes".

Crisis of Conscience
by Kristofer ini just finished reading this book.
i've got to say, that last chapter was amazing and so inspiring.
i haven't felt that good after reading a book in a long time.

Ray remained a member of the GB even though he lived it and saw first hand all their hypocrisy! He lived through it all yet he did not leave the Organization.
Ray after leaving Bethel moved to Alabama and attended a JW congregation so faithfully that the body of elders there wanted to appoint him an elder in their congregation! He remained a faithful JW throughtout all the problems and all the hyprocrisy and anti-Christian behavior of the GB. He did not, as many who have read his books did, leave on his own because of some "crisis of conscience" but rather he needed to be thrown out ...... then his crisis came.....
I asked Ray about this. He responded that the situation at Bethel had moved too quickly for him to have had sufficient time to explain personally to his many friends his own views, and so he was essentially buying time to help his friends while he could, before they would feel it impossible to speak with him. He noted that his comments at the meetings at Gadsen were simply to quote appropriate scriptures in the hope that others might see the discrepancies between the Bible and official WTS dogma. Likewise in Field Service, his aim was not to place Watchtower literature, but to encourage people to look to the Bible as an Authority.
I found this a reasonable response because I also remained a member in good standing (i.e. did not leave) for a considerable period of time after coming to the conclusion that the WTS is emphatically NOT the "one true Faith", and for much the same reason as did Ray. There were certainly many others in the past who did likewise; there are still many who have not yet left in order to assist their relatives and friends.

The Memorial Head Counts
by Cabin in the woods indoes anyone remember about how long it takes for the number of memorial attendees as well as the count of partakers to be announced to the public?
for the life of me i can not remember.
i am certain that those numbers are not held back until the yearbook.

Maybe they are fudging the numbers and the partakers are even higher than the numbers they dare to post.
Whether or not they are "fudging" the numbers at Bethel, the number of Partakers necessarily is considerably higher than the posted numbers, because the Bodies of Elders are reluctant to validate one's profession of Anointing "so late (post-1935!) in this soon-to-pass-away System of Things" and so not infrequently simply do not count an individual as anointed whom they (as Other Sheep) have determined not to be anointed. The Society's official figures also clearly do not include anyone who "unofficially" partakes privately after the Memorial at the KH, a not uncommon practice among the Christians who still attend at the KH, but do not wish to be the objects of adverse gossip.
