need to vent - just got off phone with mom

man i hate the predicament that this religion has put me in.

i love my mom so much and to hear her cry is the worst thing in the world.

it's so frustrating when she thinks that things are so bad b/c i'm dfd.

Jared you seem to be a loving son to your mom, do this tomorrow, send her some flowers and say I'll always be your loving son now and forever!!!

I say this because it is so hard on the moms who are told you child dosn't matter anymore because they left Jehovah------OUR CHILDREN DO MATTER AND IT IS NOT NATURAL TO TELL US THEY DON'T. I speak from expierence: my mom had nothing to do with my brother who was DFed for over 8years and he felt just like you, but he would call my mom when he was sick and she would say don't call here and hang up.............how sad -----so my brother finally gave in and said what do I have to do to get my family back--------------------YES YOU KNOW------------SAT IN THE BACK OF THE K-HALL FOR 6 MONTHS UNTIL HIS NAME WAS READ OFF -----YEAH YEAH WE CAN TALK TO HIM NOW GOD SAYS ITS OKAY WE CAN LOVE HIM AGAIN..................That was a happy night for our family----------but that was the last we saw him at the K-hall----------but thats okay he played by their rules and he has ours mothers love again..........he hated it but did it and we get to spend time with him now without evils eyes looking at us...................it is so sad to play this sick game but your mom and dad are in it so it is up to you...........................

do you still attend the occaisonal meeting with your believing family members?

if so, do you find any value in what's presented?

i still attend the occaisonal sunday meeting with my believing wife in an effort to show my respect for her feelings and my willingness to be tolerant.

At times I have a inner need to connect with some of the friends and I must say I feel good when I'm warmly recieved. My hubby on the other hand hates going but will endure it for me, when he let's his guard down he smiles a little not much. But the information is so 1st grade-----my older brother (who brought our whole family into the organzation and left 15 years later) said to me once you learn you abc's you move on to 2nd grade, the way the truth is, you keep repeating first grade like you are a child. I will agree the information is for brain dead people and it gets very hard to sit though 2 hrs just to say hi to old friends so we only go occassionally.

Jehovah's Witness Oddities

i now enjoy telling people about the things jehovah's witnesses can and cannot do.

for instance, witnesses can work in a store that sells lottery tickets and tobacco but they can't own the store themselves.....whole blood is forbidden to be transfused yet blood fractions are acceptable.

donating blood in any form is wrong but accepting blood fractions is a conscience matter.........can you think of other jw oddities????

You can't go to college if you want to better yourself-------------BUT--------if you want to pioneer and need a little more education to get a better job so you can pioneer it is okay!!!!!!!!!!! how is that for wacked reasonning-------------

Did you feel guilty when you did your first post on the forum???

hello all, hope everyone is well,.

as i read many posts there seems to be many that "closet" read and it isnt till many months or even years that they actually post something.

was just wondering how long it took other people to post and did they feel guilty?.

I must admit I did. My hands were literally shaking as I signed on. But my hubby sat right next to me and said "this will help you in healing and you have alot to share to help others." So 3 weeks later the shakes are gone but the guilt still is in my heart and head. Though I appreciate everything I get out of this forum it will take time for the saddness and guilt to leave.

Losing faith in the organization

i have been a jw for more than 20 years, but during these past few years i have come to realize that some of the elders and regular publishers are very hypocritical and insensitive.

they have done things that really disgust me.

tare so arrogant that they cannot take any criticism form you.

how long did you stay in once you realized the truth?

Officially still in but doing slow fade due to family----it is hard when you see people you thought were real only to find out they are fake but they don't know it until your eyes are opened to the soceitys controling ways.-----I find I need to stay in touch with the teachings by way of mags. and new OM book . It helps me to be alert to what is being taught so I can subtlly talk with my family to reason with them about why the organizations does this or that.

seems there are a lot of picture topics flying around lately, so here's another which i often think about when trying to imagine the people behind the posts i read.

is there anyone in particular whose posts you read and would like to see a picture of?

I would like to see our Wt. conductor, Blondie, she is the smartest elder------she is right there with the right answer at the right moment....we have learned more by her teaching the Wt than probably any elder we know. I'm glad she is here to help us understand exactly what the WT is teaching.........

Now Metatron--WOW--what insight into our thinking ability----he stops and makes you analzye exactly what we have been brainwashed to think for so many years............he is truly an asset to our healing process-----------I picture a very tall handsome man with black rimmed glasses who you would veiw as a psychologist who knows people and why they behave as they do.............we need him!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary she tells it like it is that write up on the scocial structure of the congregations was right on the money she is another one I'd like to meet. She has been very instightful in all matters and we appreciate having her here..

Then we have poor Minimus who is searching for lifes answer by his futile questions that seem to be for his pure amusment . Adds very little but gets too much in return. I picture a Fat,Balding man with Bad Teeth from eating to many M&Ms.......But I must admit I do love red M&Ms though.

Would You Stay As A Witness, Even Though You Knew It Wasn't "The Truth"?

when a witness starts thinking, there comes a time when decisions have to be made.

when you know that their bible chronolgy is unsupported or that the revelation climax book is absurd, it begins the process of 'what are you going to do now?

'......what could get you motivated is the realization that "love" is not the hallmark of this organization.

It is hard to stay a witness when the rosey colored glasses come off or should I say when the fog clears. But due to family that we love dearly we will occassionally go and we always go to the District Conventions to hook up with our family that live far away..................But when you are hearing clearly and you all know what I mean you hear all sorts of horrible things come out the mouths of these christians men..You can't believe you agreed with it and sad to say taught people who are in it today and can't understand why you have backed off. How I wish I could tell them but I can't blow our cover at the moment so we listen very very carefully when we are there and look at each other as if to say did you hear what I did............and everyone around us are in the trance not hearing and not noticing that they are in a movie called BODYSNATCHERS.............so we pretend so they won't know we are not like them.

Do you hide apostate literature on your computer?

i was wondering how many here take special precautions, like deleting internet files and clearing your internet history, so that no one else may use your computer and find out that you're visiting apostate forums and reading apostate literature.. maybe some won't even put a jwd icon on their desktop, just incase a jw family member could see it.. .

This is so funny because we don't hide it. We had my very devout JW mom over and she wanted to go on the bad internet because she don't have it at home.....anyway I actually had my mom reading from the JWD. I said these are some of the friends who have had questions about certain things in the truthif she only knew. She asked me who this Doc Bob was because he was putting signs up all over the place............I said oh I think he used to be an elder , he is just tring to help witness families. So I found his web site and she started to read and thats how it begins......................
