Days almost over, but it was a Diamond Day, UNTIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I talked to mother.............very devot Jw......anyway she was supposed to get me a new OD book. Guess what she told me: YOU HAVE TO GO TO YOUR OWN HALL TO RECIEVE YOUR PERSONAL COPY, BUT FEEL FREE TO COME OVER AND READ MINE IF YOU LIKE. Isn't that nice, she must of talked to an elder who told her to tell me this, because it came out so rehearsed, that is not like her. It iritated me, but oh well I will not be black mailed just to get one.

"There's A Great Influx Coming In!".....per the Circuit Overseer

We came from a cong. of 180 publisher in the 90s, now it is down to 60 publisher in 2005. Wow! Where did they all go? That must be it, they are going to other halls and there is your influx MR CO. They can't face reality.............people are disappearing right before their very eyes.........they have no answers..........so they must lie to people like your poor mom, so as not to worry her.

I was at a very angry mans door when he began to berate me and the faith, my child was with me so I was tring to be very gracious, Then he got mad and said what is your address, I said pardon me? He repeated what is your address so I can come talk to you on a Saturday morning.............I panic I lied, I gave a fake address. I felt bad but this guy was a looney but then again I had no buisness on his property preaching my faith..................see the stupid positions we were put in pushing the faith. I truly believe he would of showed up at my home if he had my correct address....................I hated it!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you Buck, I love those moments when you leave them scratching their A** , wondering did I just hear what I thought I heard.
Anyway I kid you not, that is what he did for our local needs, once again the sisters are cursed with the sin of EVE, that being a woman causing trouble with the plumbing.

Speaking of questions...
by Confession inas a jw, did anyone ever ask you the following.... "if you discovered that jehovah's witnesses weren't really teaching the truth, would you leave them?".
here again, it's a toughie for most of them.
if they say "no" they appear a mind-numbed fool.

I recall at a Circut Assembly the DO got on stag giving his what ifs and said "even if this wasn't the truth, it is still the best way of life!" All clapped like he just gave a revelations of sorts,(I think indirectly he was) anyway I did not clap I looked right at my husband and said then why are we here if this isn't the truth...........what a thinking moment for both of us, but like good JW we continued for 20 more years but always questioning that comment made by that DO.

Commenting
by DocHayes inwhat type of commenter where you?.
where you the one who answered the question word, for word from the paragraph?.
where you the little kiss @$$ who would more or less read the answer verbatum, but would also tie in a scripture?.

I always prepared my lesson, and would comment once or twice in my own thoughts, imagine that, a woman who can think--------would always tie in a scripture for proof of my answer was in harmony with Gods Word such a good student I was bla bla bla bla GOLD STAR FOR ME

Why remember the bad treatment?
by Joker10 inthere are people who have had bad experiences and don't look back.
but many people on this forum remember it and post about it almost, if not, everyday.
personally, i've had my share of bad moments.

Though I can appreciate your point, you must understand by sharing experience good or bad it is all part of the healing process . Please be patience with us as we might not be up to your level of tolerance. Also keep in mind you are among ones that have given life, blood, and soul and family for 20, 30, 40, 50 years and that is not an easy fix emotionally. As you are aware in Organization you are told not to complain, even if a wrong has been commited against you, you were not to talk about for it could divide the congregation, so you had to suffer in silence and rely on Jehovah to fix it......yeah right! So please my friend, since you are blessed with erasing the past, that is you,and God Bless you for that gift, but not all are able to move on as quickly as other.

This local needs was some time ago but very important.....we were all on the edge of our seats as our PO went to the podium.....he start in about the plumbing then about clogged drains then got into the ladies room problem with clogged drains.(always us nasty sisters making trouble for the brothers) He informed all of us that a major clogg in our ladies room was due to flushing tampax down the toliet and it cost alot to have it fixed................now I ask you is scriptually based? Where is the dignity. It can't be in the mens room where these piggy men drop a bomb in the bowl no no it is always the sister making problems.
Now our local needs last night dealt with commendation by our PO.....we have a cong. of about 60 and about 35 were there to be commend oh but wait this commendation was not for all...........this lug head actually stood up there and named names of the ones he want to personally commend and the rest of us losers had to sit there and wonder will he name me and my family of course not.................... he honored all in his little clique and left the rest of us wondering WHY THE HELL ARE WE HERE ? that was kind and loving of us to sit through this local needs especially since we weren't worthy of being named and commended..............I wonder if I put a $1000.00 check in box with my name on it I might get honorable mention next local needs.....................the end.

Things you find out when you go to a meeting...
by JH ini went to a meeting today.
i found it very long.
i talked to a brother that went to a meeting in the morning in his congregation, and decided to go to our meeting this afternoon also..... i talked to an elder who had a depression.

Flash good point you make about the good elders being over worked aka dumped on with all the work.. Of course they get down they are only human. My hubby always need a little taste of medicine on his ride home (if you know what I mean) and I didn't blame him for needing it. You find out all the gossip at the meetings if you are in with the right group, I want you to know witness are worse than the world with some of there behavior.....bad,bad,bad,...............not me though

Question for those raised a JW
by New Worldly Translation ini was wondering if anybody feels like i do that if i hadn't been raised a jw i would never have embraced the religion.
i know it's easier to say in hindsight after i know the truth about the org but honestly i don't think i would have given them the time of day.
i'm not a religious person or even a spiritual person and being a jw always caused a conflict in my mind.

We had a good start to being good catholics, catholic school with mean nuns and uniforms, confession on Saturday, church on Sunday morning..............I loved God and Jesus and wanted to be a good girl......that all changed in 72 when the witness enter our life.......................now the God I loved was the God that was going to kill everyone I loved, even my dad if he didn't go to the hall with us...........I was very scared. Lets face friends, that is how they operate , Fear is the way they get your parents in, all your children are going to die if you don't get baptized before 75------------so that was the end of us being raised catholic and coming into a cult that takes your love of God which is your right and use it to control every aspect of your life. So to answer your qustion I always wanted to be a good catholic and no I would never listen to a wacky witness if they came to my door........if only we could turn back time.
