i am so confused about this guy that i have been secretly talking to on the phone and secretly going to his apartment(only at nighttime).

he is a jw, ofcourse--if he wasn't i'm sure i would not have this confusion.

he flirts with me,touches me an chance he gets(on the shoulder or the knee) and i know he likes me more than friendship(or maybe he doesn't, who knows?).

Make a move on him? Think really hard before doing that, that could jepardize your friendship. Look deep into his eyes, tell me what you see. You can tell a lot about a person with eye contact. You can see inside their soul, if you really look...

I think he does like you, but is afraid to admit to himself, that he does. Witnesses aren't suppose to date or even think of dating worldly people(you){non-witness}. So for him to ask you to the movies is a step in a positive direction. Just don't get crazy and do something stupid. TAKE IT SLOW.

I wish I could give you some advice, that would honestly help. They confuse the hell out of me too! I just take each day with a grain of salt and see what happens. Just take it slow and just enjoy your friendship with this person. If he is talking to you and inviting you to his place, etc, etc, I would say that that is a good indication that you have definitely gotten his attention, but what his intentions are with you, I doubt he even knows...Ask Jehovah--see what he thinks! I'm joking now....Just take it slow, maybe it will grow into something more, maybe it won't. Only time can tell.

YOU NEED TO GET A GRIP ON REALITY, MY DEAR. LIFE GOES ON WITH OR WITHOUT THAT PERSON IN YOUR WORLD, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BETTER YOURSELF OR YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN PERSONAL HELL AND FEEL SORRY FOR YOURSELF. YOU SOUND SO DESPERATE AND DESOLATE THAT IT SCARES ME.
AND DON'T HATE THE JW FAITH JUST CUZ YOUR ANGEL. EVERYBODY IS ENTITLED TO THEIR BELIEFS EVEN IF THEY ARE COMPLETELY IDIOTICALLY.

for the last 7 months i have been involved in a "friendship" with a jw.

he really was my best friend, who i felt i could confide in and trust with my life.

i have to admit that i have never felt as close to another person before in my life, it was as though we were on the same level--he would finish my sentences, know what i was thinking, and feeling.

His brother is definitely not his best friend, as he once worded it, he is his worst enemy. That is not an opinion, that is a fact. My friends been pressured back into the going to meetings, bible study crap, and he is miserable. Not only miserable, he is literally sick. And he is now "distant" to me. He told me he went on Sunday, felt sick for the rest of the day, and woke up the next day feeling even worse. He missed work monday, needless to say. Then yesterday, he said that we shouldn't be seen together in the daylight anymore, because someone from the congregation might see us. OMG!!!!!!

As for me, I have been given much literature regarding JW from his sister in law, and she says she'd like to open my eyes to the truth, and I quote, "If not for you, do it for Matt".

I am so worrried about my friend, though, and I don't know what I can do to help him. I can't tell him how I truly feel about this entire situation. His brother has so much power over him, that it makes me sick.

Interfaith Relationship

i am currently involved in a relationship for the last year and a half with a man that i found out about 2 months ago is a jehovahs witness (and i am catholic).

the only reason why i found this out, was that i was pushing the issue as to why his parents do not know that i exist.

this really irritated me since he has a very close relationship with his parents.

At least now you know that he is a witness, that means that he doesn't have to hide anything from you anymore. Which in my opinion is very good for any relationship...

If he was so serious about his religion, I find it hard to believe that you two would "share the same bed" and not be married. Hell, I had to wait 8 months for a kiss. Well worth the wait--I'd like to add!

His parents would not approve and unless you two are strong enough to survive a lot a bullshit, from them, from elders, etc...your relationship is doomed...

I think you need to talk to him about these feelings, but just don't speak negatively about his cult.

In my opinion, religion shouldn't matter in love.

So tonight, my friends brother and his wife come over to my house, bringing watchtower books and a book called 'knowledge that leads to everlasting life', thinking their were gonna have a study class with me and my friend--well Matt calls up AFTER they arrive and says he's not gonna come over. OMG!!!!!!!!!! I was in hell for 2 fun filled hours. When they finally left, I called him up and yelled at him, asking him why he didn't come over to save me. He said he didn't need to be there that he already knew what I was in store for, and that he's had enough of the bible groups for a lifetime. So here I am in totally shock and disbelief...What am I getting myself into?

No my friend doesn't live with his demon brother, he has his own apt. His brother is 4 yrs older than he is and is married with 3 kids.

Oh, just for the record--I work retail as a CSM, my friend works at the same store as I. I am his boss! How's that for a trip??

My friend and me don't talk religion. So the only time religious beliefs came into play was when his brother was playing his mind trips on us.

I am really angry at him for not coming over night. The brother is the one who initialized it, Matt had nothing to do with any of this crap. Or so he says, who knows?

All I know is I'd rather pick fleas off a monkey's ass than study this crap.

Learn a little something about his religion. It's strange that he would hide it from you, since this was the first thing "my friend" told me was that he was a witness, blah, blah, blah...

His relatives will most likely be a problem for you, trust me I know that very well. You are a worldly person, after all, in their eyes.

Can you two co exist without covertion? Maybe. It depends how serious he is about his cult, and if you are a practicing catholic.

We don't bring religion into our relationship, and I have never tried or even wanted to change him.

Okay, so you have fallen head over feet in love with a JW, whatever you do--don't tell him that. Build a friendship, something that can grow without any romantic tension. JW's are very different than other's because of all their religious dogma's. You are a worldly person and very bad, and morally unacceptable. You have to start slow with a JW, by being their friend, someone who they can talk to and rely on.

And if you are thinking of converting for him, don't be stupid. JW's have so many mixed up, half ass belief's and unless you REALLY accept them as being true, don't even entertain the notion. You'd be giving up your soul.
